Joy Withdraw from the NPPL after San Diego

Im with Robbo, Joy's departure from the NPPL will be a big poopy hitting the fan situation at NPPL HQ. Shame it had to come to this though. Joy have been cheated out of wins several times on atrocious reffing.

Just have to wish Magued and the boys our best, and rest assured that we will see them all at the Millenium Events. Maybe time to institute an EPPL :) (European Professional Paintball League) :D

what about Rage, mate? they dont seem to have any trouble with calls... they ARE yanks after all...
And there are rumours that Rage won't be a WDP sponsored team soon, rumours I say.

I'm of the opinion that if Joy are not in NPPL next season then they will play another US league, just look at their fan base in the US, a huge market for WDP.

Now, if, as suggested, the NPPL refs are on the take who wins, WDP sold out of the league, has Walker bought a pup?

...trust me..they will bat more than an eyelid...a lot more.
i really hope they do.

what i mean is that publicly, i feel they will say very little on the joy front, except to make it seem that they played no part and that it is all joy's decision.

i'm sure behind closed doors they are likely to have to think very strongly about what it means to the integrity of the league if teams are willing to pull themselves out due to the faux pas that occur and apparent bias that exists - they will be very anxious to ensure that it isn't something that will happen again - it does not do their public reputation any good to see this sort of thing happen and only lessens their credibility.

all in all i think it may bring a call for the unification of leagues more to the fore. which would be no bad thing - but a whole other topic.....

You mean PSP/NXL ?? It would cost them much much more to attend those, more players, more staff... And I think they are already paying more to attend than all the other pro teams.

Now that is funny.:) Missy, among others, might disagree with you on that one.

I'd like to think so but I can't imagine why. If anything ought to be the "big poopy", (lovely turn of phrase, btw) the KC result should have done the trick but at this point I have a hard time remembering all the instances when somebody shoulda learned something from paintball's screw-ups--and yet, here we are.

Ironically any TV deal might be a major reason they work to keep Joy there...
Why would FSN care about a Swedish team, 1 of 18 teams? Certainly the non-paintball potential audience doesn't cus they are clueless and if you think in the Big Picture American paintballers in general are gonna care all that much I think you will be surprised.
