unfortunatly call of biased marshelling against european teams playing in america has been going on for years!! all the way back to the good old woodland days,so its not really a big surprise is it
I think we got shafted in the 5 man's as well. We took it the chin and put it down to experience. As the team got better over the next few years strangely, we got further and further away from our goal until we all realised that it just were'nt going to happen. So this argument has been running for years, just to add petrol to the fire, Me and Ralph played for NWC in 10 man 1993 World Cup,it was the first time the team had played the event. Having qualified to the final with Ironmen, Aftershock & All A's we were pretty confident of doing well. A person from the organisation who will remain anonymous came up to me and another player on the eve of our first game and said " it don't matter how good you play and who you beat, the World Cup will never leave the USA. I won't allow it and the judges won't allow it".Not saying it put a downer on it, but it seemed pretty pointless playing those last few games. Judges did change games on the field that day, but it was in the woods, so who was there to see it............. nobody.

Sour grapes ? not really the Preds,NWC,Ton Tons,Ducks,Nexus, and now Joy have all had a serious tilt at winning over there. All to no avail. Close but no cigar. If there were ever any cigars to be had that is
It seems to me that any event featuring International teams such as the World Cup should have the same format as International Football. I.E. Referee's not of the same nationality as the two teams playing to ref so as to maintain impartiality. So this argument has been running for years, just to add petrol to the fire, Me and Ralph played for NWC in 10 man 1993 World Cup,it was the first time the team had played the event. I continued with the quest for a piece of siverware for a few more years with NWC and nothing got better. I went to the US with the then 7-man World Cup winners Ugly Ducklings who had beaten good American teams on French soil with French judges and had a very similiar experience playing Supa Ball in Florida, Judges effecting outcomes of important games.
How can the same things be happening many years later. I fully support Joy and the stand Magued are making, I stopped playing in the states in 1998, it had become pointless and a very expensive holiday to come home feeling shafted.
Amen
i think hes got a point their lads.solution french reffs they hate every one
