ego 06 piston washer on the reg has cracked. Dont know if 05 people have the same problem.

phoned the manufauctors and was advised to buy a new reg kit 20quid plus postage. I dont want to pay 20 quid for some thing thats like the size of flie, probably more expensive than diamond!!!!!!!!

Its a small piece of rubber people about 3-4mm accross. It must be stamped out by the millon. ok hundreds....

Is it possible to replace this washer dot with a similar substance??? Anyone any ideas please.

Ok the result of having a cracked piston washer is that the velocity goes up to 350ft plus and balls breaking. and getting it down again well you end up a non fireing ego as air gets cut off trying to lower the velocity.

Everyone will tell you that you have to replace the reg piston. I take it you mean the little black disc in the bottom of the piston, the reg seat? If that is cracked, it won't be long until it blows out entirely.

You can't glue this back in.

You need a multi-reg spares kit from planet as they don't sell them separately, and as already said, you wouldn't be able to glue it.

piston

if a piston is made, then parts can be made by someone else. hence why you get custom parts for just about anything... cars markers included.

My question was does anyone know of an alternative replacement washer for the ego piston reg?

I already know the solution cough up 20quid. but i am looking for an alternative.

Incidently the new 07 pistons the washers are sealed onto the piston. the older style piston like i have, the washer is moveable ie you can easily take it out and put it back in.

There must be someone who has tried this?

Why would anyone try it. you fork out a good lump of money for a gat then winge about having to replace something that costs £20. Think about it dude...

you get a lot more than just the piston in the reg multispares kit.
well worth having in your kit Bag REGARDLESS of whether you have a part fail.

tbh, these are standard parts that will be subject to wear n tear.
given you have an 06 ego, its definitely over 6 months old.

£20 maintenance over 6 months is pretty reasonable and like i say the kit will alow you to fully service the LPR and HPR, with spares.

custom part

hi all,

i found me a custom part thats superior apprently to the stock part, also guarentee for life. half the price of a the kit. thats what i will prob end up going for.

I know all the comments etc like £30 for servicing a £600 marker etc etc point taken. when you dont know whats wrong with it.

However when you know the fault is a 3-4mm piece of rubber thats all thats wrong with it then well you can see why I am Pi$$ed
