And another!

Me too!!!
Yesterday I sent my DM5 back to Dye on a next day ( before 1.00 pm)..I checked back to see where it was and saw this morning the same message IE we expect to deliver before etc etc..after 2.00 pm I checked and found it had not been delivered either..I called a long winded auto call ( snap)..and eventaully was told by the bloke on the other end " i can understand you are dissapointed" etc they probably go on courses to learn how to say sorry....and I was told that if it isnt delivered tomorrow then i can claim under the insurance! All I want is for my DM5 to be repaired and sent back so I can use it this week..not to wait weeks for a claim to be sorted! I am so gutted that the Post office have cocked up again...and it has ruined my week ! I will never use them again for parcels..crap service, crap sincerity, crap, crap crap.

Purchased a marker which was shipped via royal mail yesterday as a special delivery pre 1pm.

Checking with the online tracking service this morning. It stated, 'we expect to deliver on 10-07 as arranged'

Checked at 2pm after it did not arrive, 'your package is being sorted'

Rang them to find out if thay had any more info. Went throught to an automated answerphone. First option, 'If you are ringing regarding industrial action, press 1.' Very encouraging.

I am sure it will turn up in a day or so. But it seems even special delivery is a complete cop out.

I personally cannot wait for them to fold. Give some other companies a chance to shine.

Moral of the story - Dont use Royal Mail!

My dad works for royal mail and I had a bit of a rant at him when something of mine went missing but the basic fact is, they're on strike, which increases problems, I've never had problems before this and everyone is sitting slagging off the royal mail and the people that should get the blame are the people that deliver it cross country, smash it arround ect but the people that do get the blame are the ordinary people like my dad that just deliver letters and such locally. They deliver what they get, if they don't get it, they can't deliver it to you. Moral: If you shouldn't use the royal mail when you want something sent properly, then don't.

But if they close we're all pretty buggered for getting all our christmas cards on time 'cause I'd like to see another company take on everything that they do.

Sorting office woes

I agree with you to a certain degree...any time posted is in the hands of the post office staff from receipt to delivery..so if it goes missing then it has done so whilst in the care of the post office...I suspect the sorting offices are mostly to blame..but they take your money have the queens head on the stamps etc and you should expect such care and loyalty for any item..in trust.
Nowadays that trust is on fragile ground...
I think the postmen and women that deliver 6 days a week to a good job..but I cant help but be peed off when the things i value go missing!!
