And about the PC, im not getting at you, i just hate the fact that compainies sell Computers for thousands and thousands of pounds when if you acctually shop around you can get the same thing a HELL of alot cheaper. and the worst thing is, people see these companies like dell, or mesh or time or whatever, and they think they are getting a good deal. "buy it this weekend and get a free printer! woooooo!!!"
When in reality, your paying over twice the price you should do for a machine than you should be... so the amount your paying for it, you should get to keep the van they deliver it in never mind a $hitty printer...

actually we got a good deal from dell,free double memory, free speakers and sub, free all in one printer - not a ****ty thing.
all for only about 300 quid - 3 years old, still running strong as ever, plays all the games i want it to play - never had one problem with it, has over 13gigs of music on, god knows how many gigs of photos and its still damn fast.

Things are worth what people are prepared to pay. I could build myself a PC (I teach a fair amount of ICT) but to be honest, I'd rather let someone else do it and have a full warranty. As for shopping around.... great, but I did that with my first PC and the company changed hands before my warranty was up.
Break down the components of anything and it's not worth what you pay for it.
I assume you own a paintball marker? That's two circuit boards and a pound of aluminium you've paid however much for.
I'll be ordering my new PC from Dell next week, It'll be my third and I've had no problems. It's coming in at about £900. I need to be able to count on my PC, I do a lot of work on it.
Look at everything you buy, none of it is 'worth' what's charged. That's how economies run.
Look at paintball again, if people were only prepared to pay what a paintball was 'worth' how long would rec-ball (and the entire sport) last?
I've bought my PC's from Dell because my first (cheap) one worked really well and was utterly reliable. That's more important to me than saving a few quid. I'd rather spend the £900 on this one and know it'll work than get the same thing for £750 (the cheapest I could manage to put it together for) and have that nagging doubt.
So to me, confidence in the machine is worth the extra (Or knowing that if it fails it gets replaced), that's my personal choice, nothing more. And it's an informed choice, I don't like the implication that you're making.
