I did this last year. We had a weight loss challenge in work, with a £50 prize. I stopped eating snacks, and counted weigh****chers points with my Girlfriend's help, to help keep tabs on what I was eating. I didn't work out, I just made what exercise I did a little harder. I bought some ankle weights from Tesco and wore them pretty much non-stop. I bought a weight vest to marshal in, which weighed just under 2 stone (believe me, coupled with the ankle weights that made for a hard days work. It was pretty much bulletproof tho ) I rode my bike everywhere.
I lost over a stone, which was 10.4% of my body weight, and my waist went back 20 a 28". All without following any fad diet. Just eat sensibly and stay active.
Oh, I won the fifty quid too....
