The NPPL is sold!?

Russell Smith

The Paintball Association
My prediction is that the PSP try to take advantage of the current situation and start making the Pure crew some offeres to come in and set up their events better.....
Well, not so much of a prediction really.
I am a huge supporter of the PSP, but they come second to the NPPL when it comes to setting up and promoting events.
However with some of the key personal no longer sorting stuff out, perhaps they may need the help of Lane and Co.
Do they need Refs :)

I'm not sure if Geoff would fall under 'responsible' or just plain 'weird'. Certainly if both categories were available I would put him in the 2nd one. Don't get me wrong, he's responsible, but in a weird way, like a weirdo would be...

The was a red-neck fisherman (drinking JD on the rocks), a California based model (drinking some pinkish cocktail thing), and a weirdo Canadian guy with pink glasses (drinking water, with gas) sitting at a bar one night.

The fisherman turns to the Canadian and says, "Hey Canuck boy. Do those sunglasses belong to this model?" The Canadian turned and said, ......

I don't have a punchline. But there's gotta be a good joke in there somewhere.

All jokes (or almost jokes) aside - I am thrilled to have Geoff on board. Last year, I had so many people tell me how good he was at the job he does. I actually tried to talk to him about working with us before this buy thing happened. He politely declined. Once a new set of circumstances presented themselves, I made a more concerted attempt and we were able make a deal. I'm very excited about what he brings to the table.

New ownership structure. New financial backing/support. More experienced personnel. Same great format and reffing. Dates and venues all but locked down for the season. New playing surface and the venues in opens up. We're coming into the new season on the heels of one of the greatest World Cups ever. I'm really excited.

Word of advice - don't tell the Canadian how excited you are...

I have to say that with the way everything has worked out, I am happy Geoff has found himself a new home and I wish him all the best. He has a blind-spot when it comes to pipe and drape though - just giving you the heads-up...

Boys be nice now

Seems to be getting a little testy out there. As far as this guy going to the PSP, well that's business. From the owners stand point the competitors employee sometimes seems to be more valuable then their own. It is called perception. From an employees standpoint the grass is always greener on the other side of the hill. Sometimes it is and sometimes it is not. It's called perception Only time will tell. From a business standpont this was a good move by the PSP. I think Lane and Keely have done a very good job even with the fact that their resources and support have been limited at best . This move is a positive move from the outside looking in.
Missy, you are correct Opie is not playing with the boys this season. I could be wrong but I think I was told it was more work related than anything else. We will see.
From the NPPL standpoint life goes on. Sometimes new blood goes a lot farther than old blood. Change can be a very positive thing for all involved. It will be an interesting year.
I have 1 question for Baca are you Baca from Paco. As far and me and Robbo go I don't think we decided whether it will be a slow dance or a fast one. Especaily on the first date. I am old fashion that way. See you soon Baca.

This isn't testy, it gets waaaay more testy than this, trust me. Nick hasn't been back that long, and he has a 'Danish sense of humor', which is a bit like 'French deodorant', or 'bad German timekeeping', or 'Italian Loyalty' or 'South African Manners' or of course, 'good American Food', in that it simply doesn't make sense.
