07 guns

ok i did a bit of reffing today ! and seen some of the new guns out there, what i am having a bit of a problem with is the way some of them have the cheaper components.
like 07 shocker with ion reg ! yes i know it came out on top with the test but its still a bit of a mess.
and then today i get to see and shoot the 07 egos. now i know all the ego brigade will jump straight to its defence but i wanna say it and see if i can get a decent answer out of you lot. now to me it looks and feels nice, but yet again the reg is from a eteck and the finish on the bust ones are poor.

i just not feeling the 07 guns from all major players 07 DM is the same as the 06

just not getting the I WANT THE NEW what ever gun....

so what do you guys think

My EGO7 is dust Lump and it is flawless.
The reg is different than the ETEK (well the milling is) but ALL Ego front regs have the same type of insides.

have to agree with the dm7/6 comparison.

but in all fairness (and because i own one ) the 07 has a lot going for it against the 06, or even the sl66's... you have to agree theyre light and nicely milled though

heh, if it aint broke dont fix it

nxt - if the reg works, use it -who cares if its "cheap"
ego - if the reg works, use it. all ego regs work great and are very very easy to maintain. the milling is all thats (really) changed from 05 all the way up.

seeing as you put hyper2's on most things lump!

as for finish, I was in planet the other day and checked out my gloss red eg07 (not finished ye) and the blue one, and the finishes were of a high standard.

The dm7 dosnt look differant really, but feels alot differant, just feels more natural and its lighter, so no significant changes, but its nicer to hold!

are you sure you seen a ION reg on the NXT shockers? u sure you not gettin confused with the new shocker Reg that all standard NXT comes with that his slightly forward so get your hands round the reg (which are really comfy)

and the 07's - the reg isnt the same as the Eteks, yes it has the same piston the on the inside and same number of shims etc , just in a different milled reg (which is lighter than etek/06's) which is what the 07 is all about really -(being more lighter than the 06/SL66 etc) so.......

but i agree on the DM7 and Dm6's

havent seen a dm7 yet but the shots ive seen make me wonder about it.
even the milling doesnt seem a vast departure from the dm6.

still, it will sell bucketloads like all the new markers
and have equal amounts of banboys and derision

wonder what WDP will do for 07?
when was that A1 even out?

The internals are pretty much the same though, it's the same reg. It's just the new vertical adapter that pushes it foward, which is seperate from the reg.

Performance wise though Lump, who cares if it's the same reg in a different housing?

I've held a DM7, it is noticably skinnier and lighter when you have it in your hands. The ultralite frame still feels a bit weird to me though as I've never held one longer than a minute or so.

The A1 was out around June time wasn't it? Tampa or there abouts I think, all they've done is two custom annoes for Joy and Rage since then....and going by their clock it's nearly time for something new.
