just because the players want it doesn't mean its going to happen though,

hang on a minute i thought we the players were the customer ? so if you walk in a super market and there is a demand for some thing then they WILL get it in.
you guys need to remember we are the ones who pay for the tournament series to run.without us the paying customer they will all die. so if we want it we can sure as hell tell them we WANT it

it was a good summer following the pro tour about.that was the last time in the uk on our own events i have seen the likes of kellys vs shock etc.

get your acts together and we could make this happen.but it means that you lot, the ones with all the talk have to get your asses out from behind your keyboard and make uk ball what you want. it all the same old shti TALK
so when people like mikey come along and try to do something DONT give him carp try and be helpful useful comments will only help what he is trying to do.

we need players like mikey who will walk the talk and not just sit there and do nothing. keep it up mate talk soon

Thanks lump

As i leave for denmark in the wee hours of tommorrow i'll have to come back to this when i back.

Andy, if the players were serious about having one league they could quite easily have it. Look at it this way the PA, Masters and NSPL need teams...end of. What happens when teams dont turn up to their events? they lose money.

If 75% of all 3 leagues didnt turn up to the first 3 events im sure, russ, wendy and syd would definatly do something about it. if doing something about it meant looking at a one league uk system then so be it.

But, and this is an off the top of my head quote here, im sure robbo has said in the past that it aint gonna come from the idustry, so, it will have to come from us, being the players.

If people want...come and get it!

the dilema facing teams though would be to join ranks and pull out of the tournies OR enter and only have to play 3 teams and win ;p perhaps the talk of such things happening will be enough to scare monger the powers that be

next your going to tell me the customer is always right.

Most people i know that play pa have all said that we should have the same rules as the millennium series and have voiced opinions, has anything happend about it.....no

now as youve just picked out one line from my post thats fine, i was looking at it from what i thought was a logical financial point, the promoters are there to make money, you would to look at it from every angle if you can show them that they wont loose any money they might look at the idea more imo.

Have the people who voiced those opinions done anything about it? probably no

What would happen if the teams said look we play the pa (just using that as an example) to train for the milleniums, so we want millenium rules, if nothings done we'll go else where.

It would be changed within weeks.

all it needs is for people to stop being sheep (no welsh puns please) and stop following others. stand up for what you want.

If you want millenium rules. GET millenium rules. **** sake if you ask for something and nothing gets done, GET IT DONE!

Hmmm - I smell a 'players strike' looming - that'll get the organisers to take notice - unfortunately, it would also attract some unwanted attention.

what difference would a single league system make anyway? People play at a level that suits them and there is generally easy access for new players into the system.

It may help the likes of high level teams not having to travel all the way up to the PA (the top level UK tourney) to gain experience for the millenniums but really, at their level why do they need a 'practice' tournament. All you have to do is organise a scrimmage or training against a team of similar skill level and you can spend your entry fee on paint..

The pros of it seem pretty minimal for alot of effort / possible cons?

but what about the players / teams who aren't intrested in a single league and are quite happly playing in there local events once a month are they going to be sacrificed for the greater good of the few?

because all that will happen is the super league will form, teams will drop due to what ever reason, but still want to play, so somebody will start a local series up and we are back to stage 1 again.

I see the whole point of a single supper league to raise the Uk paintball scene but are there enough teams intrested to make it viable, take the PA they attempted this (ok with there own set of rules) but over the years have shedded teams due to one reason or another.

Ya think things are that simple in Paintball Lump?

Do you honestly think we can reduce the commonsense notion of a single league to consumerist marketing 101?

Mikey might, even you might but I tell you who is gonna teach you different ....Mister reality is gonna teach ya different that's who!

I'm not being negative, I'm being realistic because I know what the politics are and I know what these people are like and just because you, or any number of players think it should be done differently, it ain't gonna make a blind bit of difference mate.

You can talk as much as you like on these boards and pat each other on the back thus empowering socialist enterprises such as these but we will still be where we are now in a year's time because it ain't the player who makes the changes, it's the industry.
Live with it, we all have to mate.
