Laser Tag

Yeah I can see a market for it, but I mean do you think will lead people into paintball. For example would you guys get pissed off if you went to a site and loads of ankle biters were running around?

All right those ankle biters might grow up to play paintball or might grow up and promote a nanny state where paintballs are a thing of a past as they injure you. (bit extreme but you know what I mean)
I think if it's cheaper it would lead more people into paintball, not everyone would want to play on teams etc but it's making it a lot more accessible. As for getting annoyed with them, dont really see a reason too....

I personally think If I went to a paintball site and there was loads of kids running around doing laser tag i'd feel like an idiot. I know they ain't doing paintball but still I 'd feel stupid. Besides a group of kids does my head in !!

Do you guys think that laser guns coming into the woods is going to effect paintball ? Or do you think it will get younger players who will move on to paintball ?
tbh i wouldnt get a rush what so ever from that ;/

not the same as knowing that at any times 10 paintballs could rattle off your skull :>

There's no way.

The adrenaline rush, the sound, the anticipation of possible impact...

Laser tag is all about points, it's not a "one hit you're gone." Due to that, people tend to run around like clowns shooting everyone and everything until the game is over.

Anyone who played paintball like that would end up in serious amounts of pain.

:) Lasertag's got nothing

Why don't you try and see it from a 'kids' eyes?

Anyone under 13 can't play paintball (legally) - so why not give them the next best thing.

Or would you rather they had 10-y-olds with paintball guns - shooting anything that moved?

My 10-y-old recently went to a Laser Quest place - and described it as 'awesome' - and he does play paintball (all be it against me).

He won every game he played in - simply by using his paintball 'skillz'.

And as much as you wouldn't like kids running around your ankles - they wouldn't want you whizzing around their heads with loaded projectile launchers!

Lazer tag has it's place, along with Airsoft, why not simply leave it alone on concentrate on your game (when was the last time you heard skateboarders whinging about BMX'ers and vice-versa?).

Work with them - not against them!

I dont think it would feel the same as paintball, so I'll never try it :p...
...Besides a group of kids does my head in !!

The new 'combat-hardened' laser guns actually offer a quite a different experience from paintball; they have a much longer range, are accurate enough to use scopes etc and look more like real guns for the authentic Rambo experience. Add to that the facts that they can be set up to simulate a variety of real weapons with limited mag capacity, the need to 'reload' and even M203 and sniper varients, and that getting shot doesn't hurt (not everone loves it like we do) and I can see them making some impact on the rental market, not just for kids by any means.

Personally i used to love laser tag when i was younger, however as you get older, you dont get the same rush from running round a room shooting people i'd imagine.

saying that, my cousin (who is 12) cant wait to go paintballing and in his words, laser tag is 'gay'...
