Laser Tag

I have heard a lot about this and i think within time it will take some business away from the rec ball sites.

There is even talk about having gps tracking on them so you can be in your base and know were the enemy is and telly our side to go and get them....

i think it is evolving in such a way that rec site owners are going to have a run for there money.
Aren't they making them to be used in the woods? Nice bit of extra income for the owners if they manage to buy some.

frankly i dont think that laser tag will have an effect on paintball as really there two different things, in laser tag theres nothing to make you get your head down as it dosent hurt where as in paintball theres always that little voice in your head telling you not to get shot because its going to hurt which gives it more realism.:D

I think in time this will affect rec-ball/punter sites, as although the set up costs may be more expensive(?) the running costs will be cheaper (no paint and propellant to buy), also i think that customers will probably go for this if it ever becomes widely distributed and known because there isn't the costs involved eg. you don't have to buy a hundred rounds a 6 pound a pop.

I cant see the problem with Laser tag, like airsoft its just not the same as paintball. If paintball sites do paintball and laser tag, then we may see more people coming into paintball and of course this new thing isn't going to threaten our beloved industry! Laser tag to me just seems to be pure milsim, so Im not really interested, wheras paintball is that more flexible where those lots of different ways to play it.

We'll see soon enough me thinks.

Paintball - Laser Tag

Laser tag will NOT replace paintball it is a different market. :D :D

Over the years I, like most paintball sites, have lost business in several areas due mainly to the "It's not acceptable to sustain bruises on an outdoor activity" Brigade - We are now getting this business back with laser tag plus attracting other groups (high female participation). There is a knock on effect -parents bring kids to laser tag and then they take paintball info away for themselves also kids play laser tag then when they are older play paintball.

Don't knock it until you have tried it!!

Fancy a tester

I've been, we've got it at Top Gun..Which is at Witton Castle. So you aren't limited to the woods (sniping from the main bar).
It's totally different to paintball and a lot closer to firing a real gun.. range, drop off and accuracy are all totally different to paintball. It's not going to convert paintballers, but it is going to attract new players and those who wouldn't normally bother. So, it's all good.
