Do you guys think that laser guns coming into the woods is going to effect paintball ? Or do you think it will get younger players who will move on to paintball ?

I dont think it would feel the same as paintball, so I'll never try it :p

Would you be able to customise the guns ect, wouldnt be the same imo

it's just as expensive I was told by a laser company owner, so that drops all advantage they were going to have...only other thing is it would be great for a touring style company to use offices / schools etc...

but that would never happen because of insurance dealio's.

So I'd say nup.

i've used them a couple of times when i was much younger, might get people in for a quick, cheap laugh but there's no adrenaline rush like you get with paintballing...might be good for getting youngers players to move into the sport but only if they were done at the same place so the kids could see people paintballing and want to give it a try, otherwise theres no real link...

edit - well if its the same cost then i'd imagine an effect of absolutely nothing really...

it might

on the plus side for a punter its dirt cheap

but its not the same as 5-15bps wacking all around you in the woods

but think its place is more in younger kids and company training days

I used to love it when i was around 9.....

8 years later and its a little bit of a drag, still fun and all, but its nothing compared to paintball.

Not to mention its ever so easy to cheat, tv remote = instant win :p

in australia a company sets up urban inflatables with laser guns and does county fairs ect seems to work well for them

We had a group of guys wanting to play paintball and they got sent to a lazer tag site near by as they were missled by dodgy advertising and when they got there they kicked a real stink and the owner of the lazer tag place ended up sending them to us so we were well happy so i dont think it will make much difference.

I think it'll have a good effect- so many people I know won't play purely because they're afraid of it hurting. My uncles just bought some laser guns for his site so I'm quite eager to try them out next time I go down to visit, apparently they're pretty expensive so there's probably something stopping people beig able to cheat with a tv remote :p . I can't see how laser guns coming into the woods would have any sort of negative effect anyway, just an extra option.

Yeah I can see a market for it, but I mean do you think will lead people into paintball. For example would you guys get pissed off if you went to a site and loads of ankle biters were running around?

All right those ankle biters might grow up to play paintball or might grow up and promote a nanny state where paintballs are a thing of a past as they injure you. (bit extreme but you know what I mean)
