Finals

Dynasty took the first game, Joy second game, third game is down to a 3v2 in Dynastys favour...

**EDIT**
After much arguing with the referees, the game ends in a 2 for 1 on Joy, and a Dynasty win, so Dynasty lift the NPPL crown again.

It was 4 on 2 for a while.

Ended up 2 on 2. Fraige was in the snake, BC in the centre 50 pyramid. The two Joy were in the back snake corner and back centre can. The guy from corner goes to bunker Alex, as he goes the crowd start shouting (nothing specific, just obvious something happening). BC returns to look and cover Alex and Alex posts. I was level with Alex in the stands and it looked like (at worst) Alex and the guy mutual if not he was hit early as both Alex and BC were looking that way, but he dives past Alex to the next knuckle. BC comes over and jumps the snake to shoot him again (guess just to make sure) and the guy plays on. As BC runs the centre Joy guy comes running down the wire. At this point Alex, BC, the first Joy player and a ref all inhabit the same space betweeen two knuckles in the snake. BC and the last Joy guy shoot each other too, although seems like as the penalty was called on the first player, he never should have been in, hence why BC was "clean" even with about 5 hits on him. From where I was it was a tough, but correct, call.

The crowd were calling for a 1 on 1 to settle it but the refs called and held firm.

Dynasty get the win and the series title.

Elsewhere Miami Raiders had to come 4th or higher to win the series but decided to win it outright instead.

Looks like Bushwackers are out and A-team make the Semi-pro cut. First time in fooking ages that there'll be no Bushwacker Pro team in 2007.

Everyone seems to agree that Alex and the 2nd-to-last Joy player were called out together on a simul. BC then runs to the snake to "make sure". I was watching from the VIP side of the field and I (and others) are virtually certain that BC got hit by the last Joy player going into the snake, and was out.

The 2nd to last Joy player DID NOT PLAY ON. I watched the replay, over and over, in slow motion - Fraige got shot after he was eliminated, coming out of the snake, but it was BC who shot him. You can clearly see the hit breaking on Fraige's leg and BC's gun pointed down and the 2nd-to-last Joy player's gun pointed up in the air.

Then the last Joy player comes through and shoots up BC (who is already eliminated) pretty good. I THINK that's where the penalty came from - the last Joy player shot BC, and you can see BC put his gun over his head, and he gets a good 8-12 more shots. I can't tell from the replay angle whether those shots were excessive or the Joy player wasn't aware he'd already hit BC already since there were players/refs in the way (not that I'd blame him exactly since the Joy player already shot BC when he made his move into the snake).

On straight paintball, Joy won the match. I can't tell if the malicious overshooting penalty at the end for the last Joy player shooting up BC was warranted (or even if that was actually the penalty given). If the 2-for-1 was instead issued for overshooting Fraige, then the refs screwed up, because it was Cole that shot Fraige when he was dead, not Joy, and if it was for the last Joy player shooting Fraige while trying to shoot BC, Fraige should have gotten a playing-on penalty because his band was pulled and he was still on the field interfering with play. (He didn't immediately exit the field, he loitered around a bit in the snake.)

Either way, I still don't understand why you have a Pro finals field, players in the snake, and *NO* refs on the INSIDE of the snake. Things would have been a lot more clear-cut if there'd been a ref on the inside to see whether Cole got shot going in or not.

so ignoring any overshooting penalty, the call should have been a 141 on joy, which would leave none left and then BC would have been called out as he was shot on the way in, which would leave none left, meaning a 1on1 would have been the best call to make?

Overshooting in this case is a bit petty in my opinion, considering the adrenaline and stakes at that level, and allows for alot of 'influencing the game' after you should be out of it.

Watched the vid AND the pics taken from the incident - on the video you see BC having his back on the snake/Fraige when Scandal goes to bunker the snake-guy (you hear the commentators go OOOOH what a great move to bunker the snake!) - on the pictures I´ve seen, it CLEARLY shows that Scandal hits Fraige clean before diving into the snake himself- and you clearly see Fraige spinning on him......

SO - I suggest that Scandal hit Fraige clean and he then spinned on him (that´s a 141 for Dynasty!) - BC quickly goes over the snake and shoots out Scandal, but if the right call should´ve been made already then, he should´ve actually been pulled for the playing on (spinning) Fraige did - so that would´ve meant, that Sebban had been the last man standing on the field!

This BEFORE all of the mess at the end..... If the refs had been awake, they would´ve pulled Fraige, BC and maybe Scandal as well in the heat of the moment! :)

2 v 2

Let's stick to the facts:

Here the Dynasty snake player is owned by the joy guy taking the snake.

http://www.paintballstar.com/pn/modules/pnGallery2/gallery2/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=68972&g2_serialNumber=1

Here the Dynasty player spins on the Joy guy after being lit up. See the fresh hits all over his left arm? And you see the ref to the right looking their way? Actually there's three refs looking their way so you can't say none of them saw it happening.

http://www.paintballstar.com/pn/modules/pnGallery2/gallery2/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=68976&g2_serialNumber=1

That's a playing on right there acording to the NPPL rulebook whether he shoots or not just training the gun on the guy. (141 resulting in 0 live Dynasty players left). Odds are pretty high he did shoot, and that hit's the one the refs pulled the other player for.

Here's how much BC was Malicious intend:ed at the end of the game (as in pretty far from the worst we've seen yes?):

http://www.paintballstar.com/pn/modules/pnGallery2/gallery2/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=69000&g2_serialNumber=1

at most thats like, 2 gun hits, and mabey 3-4 other hits

so he gets hit what, maximum 6-7 times....... i bet 90% of people on here have been shot more than that when mugged

anyway, those pics prove that dynasty should of had a 1 4 1 with 2 guys left and leaving the last remaining joy guy the only guy alive... GG
