angel 1 looks ace right now. played with one at masters round 8. very sexual
egos, same deal. seexy, work fire lots of paint, doesnt break paint. would reccomend these two.

as for paintball changing over the last 4 years. have to agree absolutley. i only started playing in 2004, and the amount technology alone has moved on is pretty far.

Correct me if i'm wrong but sup air didnt even exist in the 80's (?) and even so the way games are played, guns are shot/handled and game tactics have advanced rapidly even since 2000 let alone 10 years or more before....?

Anyway if you write for a magazine cant you just read that to find out what the latest guns are :D

...IMO if you want a straight up, fast and easy to use/maintain gun get an ego, if you want 'refinement' (lol) get a DM6....those things are a peice of paintballing artwork but if youre crap at teching i'd steer clear.
Hmm I rented and played in 89. 1985 I believe the first field was in Canada, and possibly earlier in the USA. (dont quote me, my memory sometimes deserts me for no apparent reason)

I am just starting articles now, so Im a noob at it still. However the idea is to ask the "Users" of the guns. I sold my Outkast 2 years ago, but I only really got to use it in 2003, as time was not avaialble in 2004-06

But even the last 3 years seems to have changed alot, as cockers used to be one of the top guns, with angels and shockers and impulses. Now, People seem to be steering towards the Electronic guns, which I was always concerned over, due to the fact that if the electronics messes up, Id not know how to fix it. Im hearing things like "Cockers have to many moving parts" sounds like what we said with the VM 68.

Im looking for overall performance though, including reliability, ease of repair, how common techs are to find for that gun, parts, accuracy, rate of fire, etc etc.

It seems EGO DM6 Shockers are pretty high on everyone list, with Angels and IONs (Price point) up there as well. I do appreciate all the input guys.

:) :) :)
Thanks for everyone's input, I think there is a definite line here.
Seems EGO, DM and Shockers are the top 3 with some Angel, Timmy Ion and Cockers and not to forget Cyborgs thrown in.

Much appreciate for the help everyone, my thanks!!

Joint first, Ego, NXT Shocker
3rd, DM

Absolutely love Egos so easy to use, totally hassle free to look after. Definately one of the best guns on the market. From a personal stand point I have totally fallen in love with the new Russian Legion NXT Shocker, so much so that I bought the Silver and black one that was at Campaign. The feel, weight and speed of it are just awesome. It will be a little harder to maintain but generally it is just awesome. If I was in your position though I would definately get an Ego, throw in the latest bolt, which is great by the way and you are away!!

Happy shotting! :)
