Hi,

First of all thanks for your time in reading this.

After much consideration I've decided to make a major push to get Paintball recognised as an Olympic sport, as quite simply, it deserves it. With the current statistics and boom in the industry, as well as coming off the Ollie Lang Dye deal, I believe now is the ideal time to make it happen. The effect it would have on the sport would be incredible. The elimination of bad press, the recognition it would innately bring; its an exciting prospect.

I would like your help, at p8ntballer.com and PGI to make this happen.

http://www.petitiononline.com/pball001/petition.html

I have made this online petition, and I need it to have as much publicity as possible before I present it to the International Olympic Committee.

Thank you very much for your time, I truely hope you see the potential this has.

MAKE IT HAPPEN!

Sincerely,

Anthony Blissett

Location, Location.
Sorry to burst your bubble, but this will never happen. There have been numerous attempts and all have failed miserably.

Use the search function on the forums to find out why.

I know its a hard push, but why not keep trying? It takes 30 seconds to sign it, if it doesnt succeed we lose nothing; if it does, we gain everything. I took your advice and run a search but came up with nothing, if you can link I'll happily view. I dont believe it is an impossibility though, It just takes people to commit.

I will not claim to be a major competitor or name in the sport; but I recognise its potential. I've been playing for around 6 years and have just sat in the background of the major events and observed; but it isnt about me? Im just a grey man trying to represent a very deserving group; it would make no odds to me in the slightest if my name was never mentioned; only that the effort is made. Paintballers deserve the right to represent their country as much as any other olympian currently out there.

Sure its not impossible and does just require persistance on a large scale. However, getting people to sign up on those silly petition sites is not the way to go about it - The horrible truth is even if you get 1m signatures you're not likely to be any closer to getting it in the Olympics.

Perhaps getting lots of people to send individual letters to the Olympics body or something, but really not an online petition =/

Why not do both? Im more than open to suggestions. Its just a case of generating enough awareness to the IOC for them to recognise the potential of Paintball.

The chance to represent their country in their chosen sport Ralph. Paintball doesnt get true recognition as a sport yet, and it deserves to; as do its athletes; and there is no better way to get recognition as a sport than by the IOC.
