Thank you for your comments. This thread is for anyone with a ticket that feels they need more explanation. I have every right to ask for it and i would hope others do to. People are putting there oare in an don't have a useless ticket. We are a nation of moaners and not a nation of doers. Why not stand up for out statory rights of purchases. The law is there to protect us and isn't to be feared. People like Mr BS know most will not do anything and prefer to be armchair warriors. I am not and will not be treated like a mug .

And let none of us forget something here, last year when barnett was accepting people's donations for his 'support for soldiers' appeal, when asked to produce up to date accounts of just who'd donated and how much they'd donated, he could not supply the information when asked. What sort of person takes monies on the back of an appeal like that and doesn't keep appropriate accounts?

He finally came up with a set weeks after my initial request for them to be posted, what do you think this implies to the average person regardless of any affiliations?
It stinks, and it still stinks long after the dust had settled and i will never forget what he tried to pull.
Do people really think i picked on him for no reason?
I don't, i pick on people because i genuinely believe they are bad for paintball as a whole or are having people over for dosh. He qualifies admirably for either in my opinion and i will not stop until he's been ejected from the bowels of paintball and is spotted floating down a sewer pipe.
The 'man' is a real turd, worse than that, he's a cowardly turd.
And if you guys out there need a handle on who's likely to do what ..ponder this for five seconds and all will be revealed. What are the motives for both sides of the argument between myself and barnett?
He had taken money in donations and couldn't account for them when i asked to see them, all he had to do was to make them public and the whole problem went away and i could have been described as mad-man ... He didn't produce them because he couldn't produce them.
As for me, what was my motive in this?
I most certainly hadn't been taking anybody's money and was merely asking to see the appropriate accounts. His motive was to try and wriggle out of the situation he had placed himself in, my motive was to try and find out what the fuhk he was up to with all that money.
Everything else we hear about barnett merely compounds the problems he finds himself immersed in.
Seems to me, he's all about trying to save his ass while i was all about trying to discover the truth.

All this seems is a battle between companies and people unhappy about losing the money because of an event. I wasn't going to go so looking at it from this perspective I can see how it may be very annoying to lose so money over a ticket due to all the bookings that have already been made for hotels etc but at the same time I can imagine people wanting to buy a ticket seen as they sold out so quickly..I may be wrong. But what I'm trying to say is I'm 16, I'm fairly new to paintball and our first event was a Shoreline event and it couldn't have run any smoother or been a better experience for us as a first tournament. So when I see people accusing the same company of completely ruining things this then puts paintball as a whole in bad light so not only are you affecting Shoreline, your affecting yourself because as someone coming into the paintball world I don't want to know that there's constant feud between paintball companies, so I'm not pointing the blame because you can't keep everyone happy but maybe look at how your making the sport as a whole look to beginners and outsiders. Also as pointed in the picture beforehand it did say the event venue could change close to the event itself due to where it was going to be held so if you want to try get your money back have fun losing even more by paying lawyers, which is why you should always read Terms and Conditions. But I mean if you want to be stroppy and complain about OUR military training to PROTECT US and keep us as a nation SAFE, then go ahead and see how that goes for you.

As Simon said if you booked a holiday in Spain and ended up in Blackpool, that wouldn't be the end of the matter.

I could say more but that will do for now...
Holidays have no relevance whatsoever, travel agents are regulated by a governing body which presents them from getting away from such things. Although I agree with the anger at this issue, it is completely wrong to compare it to being miss sold a holiday...

This issue is actually covered and consumer law and the Supply of Goods and Services Act 1982. Some people may think its a bit petty, but when you hit a brick wall and get told to basically get lost, it's the principle of it.

On a Facebook post there is and due to the fact we got told to comment on here and not there I'm expressing it on here.

Who told you to comment here? In case you hadn't noticed, this ain't facebook. The OP never once mentioned he was complaining about the armed forces using Senny. NOT ONCE. Other people moaned at him referencing that which is childish and worse, stupid.

I suggest you read the whole thread before making a comment.

The issue is not mis-selling, it's the fact that he's been refused a refund. The fact that the event was being held at Sennybridge is a HUGE selling point, I'd have loved to play there but I won't go booking flights and hire car, hotel etc as I've been caught out once before at the UK Masters many moons ago when the event moved date. Lost a nearly a couple of hundred quid over it as I'd booked my return flights and hotel well in advance, was too late to get money back on flights but hotel was decent enough.

Personally, if I were the organiser I'd have handed the refunds out to unhappy people who wanted them as soon as I knew and hoped to move the tickets on, given how quickly they're reported to have sold out there shouldn't have been any issue at all.

barnett's methodology really is consistent with a megalomaniac - even when circumstances demand that people deserve refunds for whatever reason, he finds it almost impossible to do the right thing, he's incapable of doing something that runs contra to what his ego tells him.
In barnett's tortured mind, everyone else is at fault, he has no reason to refund monies paid, after all, he's the messianic paintballer not subordinate in any way to mere customers or business associates.
He will inevitably and inexorably succumb to his own downfall as real-world circumstances finally beg to differ with what he thinks about himself.

PLEASE DO NOT INFER OR MENTION OTHER SITES OR COMPANIES . This is nothing to do with anyone else other than people that are upset with shoreline
