This apparently a quote from Simon Cole on face book about the paint and all i've done is copy and pasted it from UKS so it's no doubt just been made up by some one.

"
From Facebook (Simon Cole):

Whilst we were all looking forward to going back to Sennybridge again, we knew this was a albeit slight, a possibility. However Holmbush is a great venue with a long history of hosting incredible paintball events, a few days playing at Holmbush and a few beers in the evening still sounds great to me! The company I represent' MAXS, are the official supplier of paint for this years Tippmann Challenge UK. As many of you will know, the paint is made specifically for this event, we currently have 17 tonnes of it on its way to Sennybridge! Which, to be fair, we are unlikely to be able to use anywhere else. As anyone can surely appreciate, this is a huge amount of money tied up in product, and no one can simply through it away, especially in the paintball industry!!
We have asked Shoreline to work with us to make the best of a challenging situation. The relocated TCUK will continue to use the clear ball made for Sennybridge, and while some people may raise an eyebrow, the reality of it is, is that it does not matter what colour the paint is, pink, green, orange, etc, when you are hit, you are out. The colour is largely irrelevant . We would like to thank Shoreline for sticking with us and doing the honourable thing, because it would be cheaper for them if they switched to an alternative. However it's a small distraction from the fact that whilst today's news is a bit disappointing , Holmbush is a great venue and I look forward to seeing you all there for a great weekends paintballing. Regards to you all. Simon Cole. "
So you see i aint the only one who thinks clear paint can be used in the woods, maybe he don't know what he's talking about either but i'll say no more on the matter.

No-one said that clear paint can't be used in the woods. People are saying that its not ideal because people will cheat a lot more, and it costs more money. (Simon even states above that it would have been cheaper to switch to another ball).

The message above is Simon thanking Shoreline. Simon got to keep the sale even though players will be using 'The Emperors New Paint' when they aren't actually required to.
What do you feel that this is proving?
And for the record Simon does know what he's talking about, and he's also a good salesperson with a vested interest, so not a good witness for your team.

Guys picking up on Simons initial thread and not fully understanding the history that has obviously gone to pass there really is only one real solution to put all of ths to sleep.
The gentleman who planned and organised the event with the MOD only has to provide his proof of booking slip from the Crown Estate at Sennybridge and all of this will be semi resolved.
One quick phone call and an email to the QM should suffice.
Yes there may be small print but you show me anywhere in today's consumer contracts where there aren't hidden clauses and sub paragraphs telling you that you cant get a refund unless you are over 80 and with both grandparents present......
Again not knowing the history here all I can say is it should be that simple to clear your name if you where promoting and booking the event. Bookings for MOD land generally take between 6months to a year to arrange if not longer due to the process and clearance required.
If the gent can prove this then ok and if there is small print unfortunately tuff.......
And just to clarify I wasn't going or planning to go and am an utter newbie here.
But I do know Sennybridge and I do know the military and how they work.

Dusty , I am a little bit offended buy your last remark aimed at me dusty .
Every post on this thread I have submitted I believe to be constructive and I am certainly not a Whiney e-bitch .

all I was stating he would have more luck selling tickets following the correct procedures in the right section of the forum where people who are genuinely interested my actually see them . Instead of looking in a thread that has been falsely named "shoreline-events-the-lies-and-what we shoul-do-about-it " maybe if the original thread creator had created a thread title a little more factual than fiction he might have got a bit more positive support from people . and not just people jumping on the tim/shoreline is the devil brigade .

Ban me if you wish but I certainly don't see anywhere in my posts that warrant me being banned but hey ho your the moderator .

Now I don't normally comment on these threads but.. I wish people would pipe down and let the facts come out!
Simon is obviously annoyed about the event change and I would be to tbh, Holmbush is no wear near as good as senny in fact completely the opposite.
Its a great site don't get me wrong but its not Urban...
Cant se why Tim just didn't refund him a few tickets out of a few hundred wouldn't hurt.

coupe of points from me:

1. if the event has been Cancelled due to the MOD, it does say that on the Booking somewhere, but surely Tim could drop some proof to Simon it wouldn't hurt.
2. Clear paint in the woods just don't work amount of people i've seen wipe on the field would only make it worse i'm afraid

No fences to be Sat on here. Consumer law only. If you have noting to add as you don't even have a ticket for this event what are you adding? Other than your view on a concern that isn't yours

Oh but I do have a ticket , I actually purchased 18 tickets for my team mates and friends I have more than likely lost more money than some on the venue move as I have guys travelling from overseas to come play sennybridge that unfortunately have now got longer to travel and i have wasted money on hotels and various other expenses but I knew in advance the risks that come with any MOD site . I saw through this and with a bit of a positive attitude and the support of good team mates we will make the best out of an unfortunate situation and enjoy the game either way.
