Fraudulent activity by a buyer/WARNING TO ALL MEMBERS

That email has more bollocks in it than a can of Spam...
Silly question, but has anybody checked the Email address, you can get freemail accounts to show up as all sorts these days!!
Just going to step in here and say I have strong links to someone that works in a fraud department for the police...I will show them this thread and ask their opinion on whether they think the email might be faked ect ect

I have called the telephone number supplied for this Leanne Butler; she is a bone-fide police officer and so I doubt this jamie character would be stupid enough to fabricate an email like this, it's beyond his scope I think.
Leanne is not back until Thursday of next week and so I will contact her then.
I think this jamie idiot has basically gone to the police, indulged himself in terms of his version of events and convinced this police officer that he's the injured party here but as we know, we have more than sufficient information to hand over to police that shows there was an intent to defraud [in our opinion] on his part.
He failed to mention this to the officer in question …. Surprise, surprise :/
As I just mentioned, she won't be back in until Thursday and until that time, NOTHING is being taken down until I receive clarification of a specific crime here or indeed a court injunction advising me to take down specific posts, and of course I will need to be made aware of exactly what this site is in breach of ...
I have no wish to break the law here but I have a duty to not only protect my site but just as importantly, I need to protect my members / moderators and those two considerations will always come first.
One of the main reasons this site is the pre-eminent paintball website in Europe is because we ensure our members can trade without being scammed - my moderators work hard to ensure that we protect our member's interests and I will not have them [our mods] castigated, intimidated or threatened when they are just doing their job.
This problem will ultimately pan out just like the rest of similar problems we have had over the years and so I'm not overly concerned with how matters are now unfolding.
If anyone reading this can add insight or are able to help in any way then please feel free to post in this thread - alternatively, you can email me on robbo@p8ntballer.com if you prefer to remain anonymous.

I'd exercise caution here.
Having been on the receiving end of a police investigation - instigated by my Mother - they have to investigate each allegation, no matter how ludicrous it sounds.
I would suggest nothing further is posted on this subject until Robbo has spoken with the PC involved and posts up the result.

This isn't the first, nor I doubt the last, time P8ntballer has had the police involved to try and take something off the site.
To date, we have never had an official order given to us to take anything off.
The police frankly have better things to spend their time on. And realy, Jamie should be ashamed of himself wasting police time over something of his own doing.
I have put together a number of this idiot's posts in this thread to email to Leeanne, the police officer, so she has a taste of what she's dealing with - some of his comments are just plain sickening; maybe after reading some of the comments he has made, she may well change her mind as to who's at fault here ....
dan - You are right, the police do have to act on every compalint or accusation made - a few years back, I had two cid officers come to my house because someone had made a complaint about me and the site - I was out at the time but they [the police] wanted me to take down offending posts, which of course I refused to do unless they could show me I was breaking the law [which I wasn't] and until they could do so, I wasn't prepared to do a damn thing.
They made one more phone call to msyelf, I immeditately told them to stop calling me until they could charge me or show me the law I was breaking ..... nothing happened
