Ha ha I know. It's natural to look after other people. The only reason I've started to post on this thread is because it frustrates me endlessly the amount of stick the mods get, or have to do.

I don't blame people for expecting help, because there taking what's been given. What I hate though is the stick you guys get when trades go wrong.

It, however, is at the cost of the work loads for the mods. It's a culture that needs to End. It's a service built out of the goodness of people's heart. No profit, no gain, if this part of the service the mod team are giving isn't working, for the mods, it needs to stop. Not for my sake, not for the traders sake, but for the mods themselves

I can't see any reason to change them, provided the mods don't mind continuing to enforce them. They're simple to follow and provide a bit of reassurance against simple scams. I certainly prefer the p8ntballer classified rules to those on UKS (great forum though it is), as the need to be vouched for by an existing community member effectively prevents new players from trading, which is a shame.

Anyone who says they can't take a photo of their kit with name & date on a piece of paper is an idiot.

Edit: having read the other responses, have to say I agree with Kitch that I'd like to see them tightened to only allow people who have been members for a couple of months able to create for sale threads (but being allowed to reply to existing threads from day 1). That would still give them access to buy second hand kit, plus expose them to the rules ahead of making their first thread. I've noticed recently that while the rest of the forum seems to have been very quiet, the classifieds have still been busy - would be nice to see some of the activity from new members directed to the rest of the forum.

I agree that the mods do go above and beyond in resolving classified issues. They should only be expected to check that posts adhere to the rules and if not, delete it. The effort they've put into chasing up scammers/slowcoaches amazes me.

Oh and one thing I REALLY would like to see changed is to remove that bloody post on the classified rules dated 2036. I know why it's there but it does nothing to enhance the visibility of the rules and totally breaks the forum's Tapatalk application, as that is the ONLY post that appears on the recent updates list. Please remove the post or stick the date back to something valid.

Thanks to the Mods for the Sterling job they do, and thanks for checking ALL the new started threads.

A definate yes (keep the rules) vote from me

If people can't stick to them they don't deserve to be able to trade on here

I think everyones covered the need for rules nicely, and covered the amount of work the mods do to not only police the forum but also try to resolve issues with sales that havent gone as they should have.

Its very hard to suggest alternatives to help reduce the work the mods do and increase security on the selling section, although id be happy to pay an annual charge on top of my plat membership for the privilege to sell, the minimum post count before being able to start a thread in the for sale section is a good idea.

Is there anyway to add a logo to a for sale thread title based on your trading feedback?
