Apologies, it was Gassy
So I threatened you ?

I told you what was going on and a reasonable course of action.

If you could have kept your Gob shut and not tried to rub Zebs nose in it with your post about not having to repair it then non of this would have happened and the forum would be non the wiser that you had taken the piss when buying a 2nd hand marker.

If you feel your treatment has been disgraceful you don't have to come here, infact I feel a poll coming on...................

or then again we may let Robbo decide

Spkid, let's get something straight right off the bat, I don't need your 'co-operation' to retrieve any money should I decide you are the guilty party here; and by the way, that is in no way intended as a threat, it is merely a statement describing the somewhat harsh realities of life.

OK, let's move on; I am not yet convinced you are the guilty party here but there is certainly some circumstantial evidence to suggest the 50 quid refund made was too high.

On that note, it seems to me, if indeed Zeb did offer that amount of money as recompense, then it tells me at least, he was a decent chap and did all he could to ensure you were happy .. in fact, he went over the top it seems to me.

That acknowledged, it would seem fair to me at least, if Zeb was kind enough to seize the initiative regarding the refund amount, then its incumbent upon you to reciprocate that gesture if only to balance out the deal.

And the basis for this suggestion of mine?
Ir's simple .. it he chose a sum that he believed would cover the damage repair and it's found out later that damage repair didn't cost that much, then you should mirror that initiative in evaluating best you can the amount of overpay by Zeb ... my opinion would be something like a 20 quid refund but I think it's much better for you to work out just how much he overpaid you .. after all, you might even conclude it was more than 20 quid but i think it's worth looking at this SPKid if only to keep the internet wolves at bay [that wasn't a threat by the way].
Just think about it please ... and let's see what you decide.

Like I've said before, there was nothing needed repairing, I think Zeb missed my point. I said that I wouldn't of paid 200 quid for the marker if I knew it had that many scratches and that Zeb should of posted a better description of the marker. We came to an agreement on the phone and both Seller and Buyer were happy with the deal therefore I don't see the need to send any money back to him.

So let me get this right SP, you are saying Zeb got the wrong idea regarding what exactly you wanted that 50 quid for, and that you ended up with a 25% reduction in the price for a few scratches that as we all know is fair wear and tear, and also, you freely admit you agreed the purchase price of 200 quid on the pics supplied, and has already been stated, people buy these items 'as seen', and after all that .. you don't think you need to pay back any of that money .. is this about it SP???

No, I said on the phone "I wouldn't of paid that amount if I knew it was in that condition" and he offered a £50 refund and asked if that would make it a fair deal and we both agreed on it. He knew exactly what I meant on the phone, I never said I would have to buy a new ASA or feedneck.

Would it be too much to ask if we could see some pictures of this undescribed damage, that is beyond what you would expect in a 2nd hand marker please?

Don't see the need in that to be honest, The refund was done over the phone and because my little comment has became a huge issue I'm not in the best of moods to put the time and effort into that since there's no way I'm refunding any money.
