If I could introduce one policy I'd make sure that mps are paid the average wage for the community they represent.
It would encourage the candidates to work hard to improve their constituents lot and stop this unsuitable candidates being parachuted in.

I'll be voting labour because it's the best chance we have of maintaining the current economic recovery.
The conservatives portray themselves as the party of change but that change will be back to the beliefs of the 1980s. This is the party that dismissed the concept of society, smashed communities and raised unemployment to record levels.
I marched against poll tax, was a union activist and wrote for socialist publications. I actively supported the miners and campaigned for labour throughout thatchers reign.
I am now in middle management in a well paid job and pay into two unions (the one I grew up with and the one that sits best with my current role).
Don't get me wrong there are plenty of things that pi££ me off about the party but I won't sit there moaning about it I'll get off my arse and do something about it by lobbying my mp or tu.
I disagree with not voting as a protest or because you don't like what's on offer. You pick the ones that align with your beliefs and help them realise that through your own actions.
As for the bnp and ukip, this has been a nation of immigrants for all time. We absorb the best of them to make our country great. Who amoungst us can claim a pure bloodline back to the ancient Britain. When do you become a native - 10 years, 50, 100, 1000?
Many of the idiots from these partys don't even realise it's St Georges day this Friday but consider themselves to be the party of the English.
Oh and can people stop quoting mythical numbers to support their arguments. If your quoting stats please state your source

I'll be voting for the first time next month the same way as this guy.

Like him, there's things I don't like about Labour. But there's more I do like. One thing I'd like to see changed though is definitely Trident.

We'll end up with the Govt the country deserves, but then it will largely be run by the editorial team at "The Sun" anyway. I'll be voting Conservative, but a Labour win is just as fine. The thought of the Lib Dems being in charge is too terrifying to consider. Vince Cable wouldn't be out of place in Berzhnev's politburo. You won't have to worry about a shortage of batteries, cos you can only carry so much wheat or chickens to pay for em.

First off I didnt intend to single you out.
Secondly my point was unfair. Some people (that I know) who vote BNP are incredibly hard working.
I prejudged you and I apologise for that.

You may not be the average BNP supporter, who would rather claim benefits than work for minimum wage yet complains that immigrants are taking their jobs.

Thats the group you are associating with when you vote BNP.

Im sure you know the type. People who think the world owes them a living and they are doing their employers a favour by turning up in the morning.
These are the people who need to blame brown people when their life turns to ****.

Your wrong on the benefits thing. Its easier for a british chav to sponge of the government than anyone else.
The EU do plan to make it easier for immigrants to claim benefits (maybe they snuck it in already). I dont agree with that one.

There standard of trades in poland may be inferior, and they will work for less money.
I can see why you dont like it but its called compettition and is a fact of business and of life.

But what about hospitals? Or just general unskilled work?

Immigration when done right is essential.
A very high standard of life in England is what we aspire to.
As this happens the birth rates fall and your population actually decreases. So your GDP goes down without immigration.

Secondly its a filtration system that allows us to absorb the best and brightest of a poorer country and to fill in gaps in our countries skill set.
If the guy mopping the floor has a degree in biological science, you know hes got a work ethic regardless of the standard of the degree.

ok no worries about the insult.

anyway what i get at is britain is known for being superior. bringing in unsuperior workers brings us down no up.

also i dont think britain should have open gates. BNP will stop that. however what i dont want is a reverse with people leaveing the UK.

like i said its the best of a bad bunch without running myself

By whom? Is this a throwback from when we enslaved entire subcontinents just so we had enough tea to drink?

There's nothing superior about Britain these days, and it's not the fault of unskilled foreigners, it's the fault of the society who wants everything for nothing an won't take any responsibiltiy. Kids failing school? Blame the school. Polish people taking all the jobs? Complaining whilst in Wetherspoons, drinking away their giro. If everyone took some responsibility, we'd be a damn site better off.

yes we were superior enough to rule half the world and just about everything originated in the UK. from drugs to trains to industries.

and yes we do now have a class of people who live of handouts but the BNP want to sort that out to. again not the way id go about it but its a start.

BNP won't stop anything. The current government has already introduced a points system and claiming benefits if your an immigrant worker is nigh on impossible.
As for Britain being known as 'superior' I'd suggest you stop reading comics published at the time of empire.
If we want to reduce immigration we don't do it by closing the doors or putting an artificial cap on it, it's done by getting the workshy into work and promoting dignity and a sense of purpose. It breaks my heart when you see somebody with real issues trying their hardest at a job when some chav can't be arsed to tear themselves away from jeremy Kyle to do an honest days work.
The welfare state was designed as a crutch to help people back into work, not as a bed to get them comfortably through life.
Again labour have introduced fit for work notes (rather than sick notes) which will say what work you can do with your incapacity. A great step forward.
Only when we have full employement will you see a reduction in immigration. Basically being long term unemployed is unpatriotic
