the 2nd time I went p8ntballing i got lit up like an xmas tree cos it was my brother's 18th birthday and me & him were the only 2 players with semis so we got picked on BIG TIME! needless to say, as soon as the other team heard any rapid semi-auto fire all of them turned their guns in our direction. i seem to remember me having a lot of bruises that day !

My first time was 14 years ago at a Skirmish site in Hertfordshire using Splatmasters.

Having used the splats for most of the day, all of us punters were in awe of one of the marshalls when he pulled out a nice shiny new Phantom pump-action marker....ooooooh!

CO2 12 grams! Oh the joy in hearing the hiss from a tree that your opponent was hiding behind! "He's changing his gas!" would go the cry, immediately followed by a quick run to the tree to try and bunker the poor soul.

I remember being one-on-one with a mate playing on the other team and, both of us standing out in the open taking pot-shots at each other, when I ran out of gas - completely!! A brief exchange of looks through our goggles as it dawned on us both what this meant, and I was off through the trees as fast as I could with him chasing me, firing paint at my arse from about 5 yards...he kept on shooting and hitting me, my squeals of "you've shot me already you b*st%rd!!" being met with the reply "But none of them are breaking!". I couldn't count the bruises individually as they'd all merged into one big one!!

First fun game was in Sept 1992 at Arena Essex - we had uvex builders googles and pumps with 12g CO2 and 10 shot tubes of paint.

Last game of the day the marshalls played against us and I can remember cowering in fear as they had about three times the range and twice the accuracy with their bushmaster pumps, hoppers made from guttering and 7oz tanks.

First tournament was a 10 man in early 1993 at Doug Setter's site in Sidcup. I'd finally realised that my hideously expensive Tippman Pro-Am was a complete pile of plop and had recieved my brand-new Daystate Patriot that morning (which also turned out to be gash - god knows why I didn't just buy an Automag to start with!). I can remember lying behind a brushwood barricade during the first game next to my team mate Ivan (Renegade camo bloke) with both of us grinning insanely as there was just a pink mist all around us with about 6 people shooting the crap out of our barricade.

My patriot then shook itself to bits mid game, top rail falling off etc - at the time I had no idea how it all fitted together, but Graham from the NWC shop noticed my plight and kindly helped noobie me stick it all back together.

I miss woodland games

First time out...

My first tim eout was with a Tippmann SL68-II (pump)...

After running around in the woods for the most of the game, I suddenly ran into an enemy teamplayer... We were both totally surprised, and I fell backwards into a ditch while blasting away!! I was totally lucky as I goggled him with one of the shots... Looked bloody awesome, and I was hooked!! Next minute I was mowed down from the side by a player using Tippmann Pro-Lite (semi)

Soon after we played against the Instructors/Refs (They were not better than most of us, though), and I went alone to the right flank... Unfortunately they had decided to flank us in the same side!!
There came 5-7 players moving along the tape, and I hid myself behind a very small tree!!
As they didn't see me at all I popped out to shoot at them when they vere VERY close to me!!
Actually I didn't get any of them as I dropped om my knees laughing at them jumping to the ground, rolling around and bumping themself into eachother in a very confused way - Damn it was funny!!
I couldn't even stop laughing at them, when one of them shot me...

This could have won me a serious amount of money if I had it on tape!! Unfortunately I'd taken the SL68-II (pump) instead of a videocamera...

The first time i paintballed was with a group of buds from school. We played in the woods near my house, and lets just say this right now I was scared to death about getting shot. Well anyways being as retarded as I am I wore a bright orange sweatshirt. Well I basically got wooped up on like a human walking target.
