Why does nobody at Smart Parts or Planet seem to know if its true then??

I shoot a Shocker and have no problems with it but why would XSV change now from Egos..... If it aint broke, dont try and fix it comes to mind.

If its true where is the evidence of this?? Fiction i think..... Good rumour Mill:D

They did play in that Smart Parts event in Conneticut (sp?) didn't they? If they weren't seriously considering joining SP ranks they wouldn't have been allowe to play, I reckon anyway.

Players denying it doesn't usally mean anything, they're toeing the party line and will be told not to say anything until there's an 'official' press release.

TBH Dynasty seem to be one of the most loyal teams going, especially in the pro ranks having only had 2 marker sponsors and 1 (?) clothing/apparel sponsor. Dogs seem to jump around quite a bit: Timmies, Freestyles now Shockers, the transition phase between which can't be more than 2/3 years max.

Smart Parts event Timmies, FreestylesQUOTE]

I'm sure i saw a vid where an SP guy was talking about it, it was not restricted to SP team and them being there proves nothing. With SP wanting to try the hand at events there not going to turn away one of the best teams are they now:)

On reflection; you're probably right Bob: RL and ND were shooting both Timmies and Freestyles at the same time (or in very close conjunction); NPS sponsorship rather than ICD/Bob Long is probably right.

Missy; can there be anything said for the fact that both Joy and Nexus (who have also been loyal to their sponsors, it has to be said) are both European teams that have been playing U.S. paintball. Are they less affected by the endless 'chopping and changing' of sponsorships that seems to be rife in the U.S. leagues? Because they've fought so hard to get to the top in an environment so 'American-ised' in this way are they more grateful to their sponsors for getting them there when the odds were against them; playing 000s of miles away from where they live/train. One for the weekend I think :)

It has more to do with the characters of each of the guys who own these teams than anything else.
Magued is a stand up guy who keeps his word and wouldn't seell his granny down the river like a lot of people in this sport seem willing to do in a heartbeat.
Loyalty it seems, is about as common as teams in the NPPL pro division not having designer chipped guns.

Its about relationships.
While Pete's right, both owners have integrity in spades, you have to also look at the relationships that have grown out of years of sharing wins/losses/ups/downs. Joy and WDP are almost synonymous now. The players are personal friends of the original WDP cast, making Joy as close to a factory team as WDP have ever had.

Do I think that the Euro teams have a more loyal outlook as regards their sponsors?
I don't know, but I would like to think so. Certainly the 2 teams you mention have made their sponsors very proud indeed, but while these 2 exemplify loyalty and validate your theory, there are surely other Euro teams that don't.
