Just covering all the bases, Whale. :p Now if that was supposed to be a serious question  the bumper boundary seemed not to cause any problems and perhaps the idea is if the boundary is another obstacle the players will avoid it. Alas, I have an inherent problem accepting any boundaries so I am philosophically opposed to them. Just like I think even the new, improved boundary lines in S7 are still stupid.

PS--SK agrees with me in the latest issue of PGI. (That's for all you little Dynabots out there.)

vaca loca?

[EDIT: Yes, if you insist on being a literalist. Name comes from a friend who spent some months in Miami working with a mostly Cuban construction crew and they nicknamed him (what he thought was baca loco, but in fact must have been vaca loco.) Anyway I thought it was funny so took the name for forum use and by the time I discovered it wasn't correct it didn't really matter anymore. So just play along. ;) And for those who insist on a correction baca loco is something closer to crazy luggage rack--I think. :D ]

You mean how there's no longer a back line on the field? Personally, I'm in favor of that ruling. Too bad they made the change in the middle of the event (again)

With the design of the fields now, they could definitely get rid of the sidelines as well as the backlines. The border in HB was enough that I rarely had to eliminate anyone for out of bounds. Let's just get rid of it completely.

On the subject of Xball fields, my team rotates last year's field designs at each practice. So it's LA one week, Vegas the next, etc. Once the field for the next event is released, we'll use that for practice. It is much easier to practice on the field a few times to get used to how it plays (like knowing my fat ass can't play that little pillow on the tape :D )
