....that actually doesn't constitute anything Joey.....sorry gal but the fact it was 'open' to everybody who could aford the asking price is quite academic here because it is the countries who are actually represented that determines the nature of its resultant designation and i'm afraid two, both American doesn't quite cut the mustard if one wants to call it 'World'.

Question : When was the last time anybody looked at the globe and saw only Canada and the US resident on planet earth?

Milt, whichever way you wanna try and justify your use of the tag 'world', it's a misnomer at the very least and in real terms, a joke.

Come on guys

What's really in a name?

All kinds of corpotations are called something with "world" or "global" - that does not mean it is to be taken literally.

It's just marketing BS - that's all.

Ofcourse, any league that is invitational only, should refrain from using those denominations it... but I can't really get worked up about it.

Soon - we'll all (probably) be part of the new world organisation the PSP and MS have dreamed up - and I'm pretty sure there are teams in outer mongolia that will feel left out.

**** happens

:)

Franchise opportunities were advertised on message boards and the like for many, many months before play began. If Nexus, or any other European, Asian, African, Australian, South American or Antartican team wanted in, all they had to do was the same thing the "arrogant" North Americans did...buy a franchise.

The fact that they didn't should have no bearing on the name of the league....if you don't have an answer to Milt's last question (other than dodging it and taking cheap shots at him), your argument is invalid.

.....................excuse me while I yawn  .....ahhh, that's better !

Chuck, I don't take cheap shots at anyone, I will always come straight for you and don't even begin to imply I used the word 'arrogant', one of your fellow countrymen (Chicago) did that, so I would tend to STFU if you intend to try and distort anything else I have said for your own ends.

Milt's question is academic and displays a complete misunderstanding of what the debate is about, if you don't understand that then you really are out of your league in this argument, I suggest you trot back to the WPL and carry on licking Milt's ass as I am sure he'll run out of tissues pretty soon.
