I think it has set the benchmark! The other formats now have something to look at and hopefully replicate to a point.
I saw some of this years 3 man coverage (arenaball or something?) on WGN or PBS. It was good, aggressive, fast paced and had a lot of people here at work actually watching it.
Someone had to try a different approach at breaking through, I personnally dont care if teams end up with ridiculous WWF/Monster truck names. To "j. Doe' paintball is paintball, inside/outside, 3 man/10man, NPPL/Millenium. they want something to follow, buy the t-shirt, trade the cards etc.
It may not be the format you personnaly like but it the wave to ride on if it breaks through?
But changing the subject to WWF type names...mmmm
