John I don't agree, if a player has learnt how to hold their marker correctly and has decent upper body strength then the accuracy difference wont be noticed.

Many Polycarbonate resins are stronger than steel and much lighter. Companys like Glock use it for handguns (which, funnily enough, make a louder noise than paintball markers). Im sure this new version isnt made from melted down McDonalds straws....but I could be wrong..

Well not wanting to sound too pedantic but engineering composites and steels have a very similar strength range (100-1200MPa). Composites though have a density of about 1/4 of that of steels or 1/2 that of aluminium, but composites are also about 10 times more expensive per unit volume than steel and aluminium.

Sorry, I do Mechanical Engineering at uni,

Especially under high rates of fire.
Well duh, that's because it'd have to be placed on a tripod...

We're talking paintball guns, low pressure ones for that matter, hardly any kick. We're not talking WW2 machine guns.

Yeah...who remembers the "planet stance"? :D That just goes to show what people percieve as "cool or right" necesarily work.

Tripods are always good, especially helpful when you get lazy, and you're in the back left beer-can. ;)
