IMHO, it has to be said that Paintball gives men a platform from which to draw on their basic instincts. And as such it gives them the edge.
Not a sexist remark, but more of an observation over the years. It's a fact that Paintball is predominantly a male sport, both as a punter sport but particularly tournie paintball. It's aggressive, fast, competitive.
Girlies will have to concede that I'm sure.
I accept that there have been some individuals of the fairer sex that have stood out from the crowd, but as an all girl team - I don't think so.
I've only ever seen one female, (I think she played for a team called Urban Wolves) that frightened me. I was marshalling at Holmbush several years ago and I called her out after she had been lit up the back - ouch!
She lost her temper big time, threw her marker on the floor, kicked it a few times, (it was attached to her air bottle in her battle pack at the time), and in a frothing at the mouth rage, she tried to bite her air hose off!! (growling as she did it)
Needless to say, I legged it!
