Played a stock tourny at S.C. village in 96 put on by Aaron Carter,
Had a great time, very well run event with excellent marshalling.
We were lucky the weather was cool 25-30 celcius(can get much warmer)and dry. we played on the bush fields,(bamboo and willows)not exactly bush by Canadian standards but oh well.
Definite pong from the dairy next door and you didn't want to crawl through the creek beds. Event was well run with plenty of refs, guns were handed over and chronyed by the refs, if acceptable adjustmentscrew was marked with coloured glue. If the gun was over you did not get it back till end of game. any gun
with the glue missing or disturbed at end of game was assesed
penalty points with no argument accepted. Very good prizes down to 10th place, and event went pretty much on time, however the second event in 97 held in Jullian northeast of San Diego was not so good, cheating was blatant and accepted by shoddy and indiffernt refs, Fields were good(bushball)and i will leave it at that, havn't been back.
