Thanks everyone for for taking the time to participate. I think I have the info I needed for my purposes. I asked similar questions of alternative hobbyist test groups, and have identified a pattern I can work with.

Well I did have my income slashed in half when I came to Uni, and after a year I ended up having to sell my pb gear, as I've so many mates with so much gear when I do want to play blagging kit isn't an issue.

But if I didn't have that support available then it'd be somthing like this
