Southerners drink 'Lager Top' and shandy, and sometimes put lime-juice in thier beer, as real beer is too strong for them. Unfortunatly the lime/shandy/'with a dash' drinks make them incontinent, and during the 80's there was a complete move away from carpeted pubs in the south of England, as the southern shandy drinking nancies kept wetting themselves. Lino/epoxy floors became the norm, and they covered this change by calling the pubs 'wine bars' to make them sound trendier, but we all know what the real reason was for this movement away from carpeted interiors...
Northerners are largely uneducated tribesmen, who were never really conquered by the Romans, and so lack all civilised mannerisms. Their tribal instincts are now directed towards thier football teams, who take the place of deities now, and are worshiped in the 'old ways', which includes drinking plenty of beer (lime-free), singing, and going out fighting.
The people in the middle (known as Midlanders) are the only sensible and balanced people in the country, and make up 89% of the countries intellect.
