chinstraps are a total waste of time i hate the things first thing i did was cut mine off. I have never had it checked or checked any mask myself. I dont care

Its upto you chances of being pulled with a cut chinstrap - well lets put it this way you may as well put your money on the lottery you got more chance!!!!

I dont see the point of a chin strap, masks are more than likely to fall down than they are up I think

Tournament rules state that modified goggles are banned
By definition cutting of fixed straps is modification
Whether this is actually enforced is another matter

as would swapping frames, changing faceplates, using an aftermarket strap, any ears not made by the manufacturer and/or cut down ears

i'd dare say most goggles wouldn't conform to the rule, i know mine certainly wouldn't
