After I consume copious pints of lager, I find myself asking the question, what is 'hard' ? someone who can beat most people up? someone who can stand there ground? someone who goes looking for fights all the time? someone who never fights because he knows he doesn't have to prove himself?

I'm trying to narrow it down to either:


Someone who picks fights and usually wins them

or

Someone who is in his own knowledge 'hard', so he doesn't have to fight.

This seems closer for me, some on who is considered "hard" should be confident to stand up for himself and friends/family but to pick fights just to win them is petty and small.
