Where not dead yet!

Now that IS beautiful...see how this forum has brought people together for a good ol' fashioned cook-in? Ah, you guys, you're just too much...my faith in p8ntalk has been restored.

And besides, everyone knows the Italians are the best cooks. Try to convinve Momma Lambini otherwise and you'll be wearing a spaghetti dish round your head, I swear.

Peace.

KillerOnion....pah!

How can you defend a country that has no natioanl food identity, you steal other countries identities for your own - burgers , pizzas, tex-mex, bagel etc etc etc - its all done first and better elsewhere. As for Kingsford - they make brickettes!!! If you want good barbecue then go to Australia - they do if loads better.

I can't believe I am having a cooking arguement ! This is a paintball website!

As for Mark T's comments - I second that - you can take your Line Dancing and shove it!! Achey-breakey cr*p.

:) :) :)

Ahem, we have no national identity in our cooking? I suppose you've never heard of Cajun? Creole? Gulf Coast? New England clam bakes? Texas barbecue (that's actual barbecue, not just generic grill cooked meat for you culinary illiterates out there)? Tennessee barbecue (different from Texas barbecue in many ways too subtle for you gastronomic neanderthals to comprehend)? Tex-Mex food, which is different from purely Mexican food because it was made FIRST AND BEST in the States, namely Texas, by people of mixed ancestry of Texan, Mexican, and Native American people. Then of course there's southern fried frog legs and catfish, Cajun fried turkey (another thing you people haven't discovered in your global travelling...and you still have to have Indians cook Indian food for you instead of learning how to do it yourselves...), venison sausage, bronzed duck, steak a la Oskar...

I could go on for days on authentic American cuisine... Your arguement thus dies. And yet on another example: you people eat prawns by the ton, and STILL DON'T KNOW HOW TO SPICE THEM WORTH A ****! YOU KEEP THEM SO STUPIDLY BLAND THEY TASTE LIKE STYROFOAM! Haven't you people EVER seen a bottle of Zatarain's shrimp and crab boil? It's been around for nearly (if not longer) a hundred years, and you still haven't begun to use it.

Show up at Middlesex University Trent Park if you dare. As to what time, depends on when I can get everything marinating...I have to study for a Banking and Finance Law exam. As I've been typing these messages today I've been writing a Consumer Law paper...

Astounding, isn't it, that I can keep pace with everyone with half of my mind elsewhere?

Oh, and as for that snide comment about our only dancing being achy breaky crap... well, that particular style is out, but you can get some damn hot lookin women at times with a little country western dancing and music. You'd nut your pants at the ones that hang out at country bars and concerts. By no means is that our only method though. There is tons of hip hop, breakbeat, and other types that we can do even better. And I REALLY would like to learn how to tango. Ever seen Scent of a Woman? That's EXACTLY the kind of reason I need to learn to tango.

As for drinking, BRING IT ON! Only problem is with over here you can't find Old Forester. (It's like Jack Daniel's and Jim Beam for those of you that don't know.) If you have some, please bring it!

Can I come to the BBQ too? After all, I am the eatmeister.
As far as the drinking is concerned, check out my sig.....
Because to be honest, both American and Brit beers/ales/whatevers suck big time. Low alcohol percentage, weak ass taste. I'd rather suck the fill out off a box of hellfire......

So we''l skip the beers, and go straight for the manly drinks. Jose Guervo or Dos Dedos tequila for me (make sure you got some lemon and salt), and whatever you want for you. Shandy anyone? :D

If any of you types end up in Holland, give me a buzz. I'll hook you up with an old fashioned pork cremation. Spare ribs are the only thing to touch my grill! I hope you like yours hot 'n' spicey!

Gotta go, there's too much blood in my alcohol already!

Just like Holland's Heineken, Mexico's Corona, and Australia's Fosters, the beers of ours that are most widely seen overseas SUCK compared to our good ones. If you want a good beer, the US has more than enough to satisfy every possible beer fancier from anywhere. After all, we have people from everywhere in the US; naturally they want their kind of beer brewed right next to home. And so they have.

For example, Shiner Bock from Shiner, Texas was founded by Cosmos Spoetzel, a Czech immigrant who along with his neighbors wanted good European style bocks and ales. Today Shiner Bock, Shiner Blonde, Shiner Summer Stock, etc. are all top notch beers that are also great in price. Another great beer you probably haven't ever heard of but is legendary in the south is Dixie from New Orleans. Everything they brew is quality and uniquely aged in cypress barrels. Try their Jazz, Blackened Voodoo, and Crimson Voodoo. From San Francisco, Anchor Steam, Liberty Ale, and Porter are great west coast beers.

I could go on and on for days....

whoa! don't underestimate my knowledge of things befuddling!
as a matter of fact, I have had the pleasure (and sometimes displeasure) of gulping down a couple of them there brewskeez!

the best beer is made here in holland though. it's made in some monestary down south, and they only produce like 20 crates a year or something, which makes it pretty rare (and expensive). one of the guys from my team brought me bottle of the stuff, and what seriously dope! by the way, we should all hang our heads in shame if we compare our knowledge of beer, with that of this guy. he knows everything! give him a sip, he'll know what it is.....

hey dude, if you're ver in the lowlands, give us a bell. I'll show you a pub that serves shedloads of specialty beers. I went down there to try everything out one night, and we were running down the list alphabetically. I never got passed G. and I can hold my drink too..........
