i think thats a valid reason, and no need to make fun of them n e ways, just personal preference. i reckon they would slow me down, and be annoying, but i think your life comes first! i admire him for actually playing the game he loves, even tho its a bit dodgey. true dedication to the sport that is.

I took one to Nutz last month while marshallin!
My first time but it didnt hurt lol. It hit the zip on my dye bottoms so i felt the impact but no pain really.

It happened while i was fixin a punters tippy durin a game and he seen it happen and he just started laughin at me lol.
I should of gave him back his gun and not fixed it! ******* lol

Worst shots ive taken are the neck and the Inner Thighs!
These ones leave a long stinging sensation.

Oops and cant forget the fingers! I wear fingerless gloves, helps my speed on the Ol' Trigger.

While playing i wear arm padz and knee padz.

While Marshalling I dont wear padding.

This is why I always wear a cup (cricket box), 'specially when reffing. I seem to get more shots there when I'm reffing the rec crowd.... (tell player to stop shooting while I pass in front of them, player sees something, THWACK!, "oops, sorry ref")

I think I've been shot just about everywhere (including the spot C-note hasn't - yes, it hurt). The one that hurt the most was three shots to the temple from about 2 feet away while I was going to check a player. Knocked me right on my butt and I was hearing bells for about 10 minutes. Bleeding welts on your forehead are kinda hard to explain. People tend to stare

Smack in the middle of u know what. 3 in a raow from a couple of feet away. Lucky it was an indoor and the chrono limit was 270. Left me a nice bruize tho.

I've had four memorable hits:

I took one in the right nad from about 20 foot away, that was fairly nasty;
A *very* hot shot from about 30 foot to the center of my forehead, breaking the skin and leaving a bullseye shaped scab/scar for about a month;
Four shots from about 4 inches away straight into my spine;
Being mugged where the guy accidentally 'stabbed' me in the head with the tip of his barrel before shooting.

Of them all, the spine shot was the worst pain-wise & there was no real need for it - I was last player, didn't know the guy was behind me (was busy re-potting in fact) & he paused for 2-3 seconds before shooting, so he wasn't being rushed.

I would have to agree with alot of you when you say the inner thigh is really sore.
I have also been shot on the arse from less than a meter away and i couldnt sit properly for about 4 days because of it.
I went out and got a cup once i played a game and i was lying down on the ground then some one shot me which ended up about 1cm below my nuts , and after i saw this http://mortonwebdesign.com/OUCH!.htm omg it still nearly makes me cry to see that


i think that is the worst places i have been hit.......... so far
