Worst hits, in reverse order...

3) "Marshall, my gun doesn't work..... sorry marshall, looks like it's ok now" That one was side of knee cap and two months later, I've still got a scar.
2) Point blank in the kidneys which dropped me like a brick - another punter!
1) Oh, and my skipper shot me in the n!p when we were training! It bounced (obviously) and he wondered why I didn't carry on playing even though I was in agony and I thought I was going to throw up. It hurt for over a week (female equivalent of the nad shot, I think)!!

Get Off My Field! NOW!
Ive been hit on the air pipe (Gullet) in the neck, i collapsed and fainted, woke up in hospital with a tube down my throat... the ball ended up closing my wind pipe, thus stopping me breathing... hurt like hell!!!!

Damn Punters and their Winter paint, with Guns running hot from 2 feet away!!

anyway im fine now :p breathing fine, and out for more :D

that teaches you the lesson of never to forget your chest guard.
.... or throat guard, or dye shirts with shoulder pads, or cricket boxes or elbow pads or knee pads.....in fact, how much of our bodies do you think we can get away with padding? :D

Chest guards lead to bounces, and everyone make fun of them, but that doesn't mean there is no time or place. I used to laugh at 'em.
A young guy who plays with us wears one, and people mock him endlessly. He actually hides when he is changing jerseys so no one will see it. Thing is, he had heart surgery a few months back so he wouldn't die, though. An acute impact could put him back in the hospital.
