If I don't get anywhere with the Sports Councils I'll be going above their heads to the DCMS (Department of Culture, Media and Sport) before I think about dragging them though the courts but thanks for the offer and I'll keep it in mind

To be honest their case at the moment is so flimsy I think they'd surrender before it ever went that far. The last thing they'd want to do is Recognise Paintball AND end up paying damages as well

I'd still rather start our relationship with the Councils on a reasonably amicable basis though

The Sports Council types dealing directly with Recognition issues will only deal with the governing body. Actually this is how I actually got the "Technical Advisor" title in the first place because without UKPSF accreditation they wouldn't talk to me and Bully saw the easiest solution was to conscript me

One thing I could very much use the help with is campaigning. I am currently trying to force the powers-that-be to hold a full appeal/investigation based upon the fact UKSport has violated its own procedures in dealing with our case.

Once I get the ball rolling I was going to ask everyone to lobby the Governing Bodies (Sport England, Sport Scotland etc) in order to hopefully persuade them to see the light. The final decision rests with the Executive Commitee of the UK Sports Councils which is made up of the Heads of each of the national bodies.

If Sparklie, yourself and the rest of the Marshalls Club could start spreading the word it would be very useful. Several hundred letters and emails arriving at Sports Council offices accross the UK might tilt the balance in our favour.

This is all assuming the Councils don't decide to ignore their own rules. If they do then I'll be dragging our case to the DCMS and the letters would be better off being sent to Richard Caborne (Minister of Sport).

When I know to whom we should direct our lobbying efforts I'll let everybody know. I should have this information within the next week or so

Hows that sound? Any helpful comments or suggestions? :)

Any use petitioning our MPs or the Sports minister? Pity Kate Hoey isn't in that role any more, I reckon she'd have a ball if she had a game!:D
