There can only be one true sandwhich, and that is the mighty Bacon Chicken Lettuce combo. Bacon, cooked to perfection in the pan, Yersterdays Grilled Chicken cut into strips. Crunchy wet Lettuce with a possibilty of cucuuummmmbbaaaaa if your looking for a big crunch. Two thick wholemeal slices spread plentifully with only the finest of hellmann's mayonnaise. A sandwhich so Holy its the only thing your allowed to make on the Sabbath......Oh God i need some new pants.

Steak and ale pie inbetween 2 bits of bread. Job done.

works on the principle that things are always better in a sandwich or pie...so by combining the 2 it's even better.

You just cant beat the bacon and egg toasted just on the outside of the bread, as to still leave intact the super egg absorbance of the bread on the inside

Actually Mark, after I wrote that post, I immediately went and made myself one minus the onions ..... ain't done much for my 'to die for' physique but damn, it flew down my throat like a whippet with its ass on fire.

I will tho, try the cheese addition tomorrow!
You wont regret it. I'm having one for lunch today myself, get them in before the cholesterol tests come back.

A friend of mine used to have gorgonzola, fresh onion and raw garlic in french stick. Straight up, actually it wasnt bad but doesnt get near my top ten.

Why doesn't it surprise me that you have a top ten Mr Toye?

Mind you I expected it is laminated and in your wallet for those 'sandwich shop emergancies'

Oh yeah! Like it, alot!

Got me thinking - one new years eve there was some nice beef stew left, not enough for two at that desperately hungry 2am slot. Put between two slices of bread and toasted in a sandwich machine - fantastic!

Also - Pork pie sandwich with picallily, a favourite at the local cricket club. Awesome.

Its actually a moving feast my friend, I like to take each day as it comes.

Though a plain old fashioned bacon sandwich on white crusty (fresh) bread (or fresh white roll) is always in the top 3.

And I agree with your toasting principle, if I have a fried egg with the pig the bread has to be toasted, one side only. It helps as you say and stops sandwich disintegration.

This thread says alot about where I am with paintball at the moment. I've posted more in here about food in the last 24hrs than I have about paintball in the last 6 months.

Mind you, food and paintball traditionally just dont go together, I cant remember any truly decent food at any event i have been to (OK Pete, the odd ice cream).

Beer's usually ok though.
