Whats the silliest thing you have seen a marshal wear/do.

Yeah, I know TL is colin.
No idea what the guy with blonde hair was called though. Says it all really, he didnt take the time to chat to the teams while the marshalls on saturday did.
Most people who go rec-balling won't have any contact with any other form of paintball so marshalls are the ideal people to provide extra information on events and how to get more involved in the sport.
I'd already found this site and had been looking into getting more involved anyway, but there were others in our group who would be interested and wouldnt have a clue if it wasnt for just chatting with the marshalls on saturday.
I'm obviously not saying that people are bad marshalls just because they dont chat to the players as much as others, but it's always nice when someone does make the effort and makes the whole thing seem a lot friendlier and more accessable to newbies like myself.

I used to chat to the customers all the time at the Norwich site, in the end gave up working there totally, for other reasons aswell as, but partly because the manager at the time used to tell me not to talk about paintball so much to the customers, just sell them paint.
Oh that reminds me, I went through a phase of wearing my big afro wig when marshalling, always good for a giggle.
I'm looking forward to getting more involved and getting to some walk-on days and events days (i'd try to get to staargate if i could afford it) but i'm happy rec-balling for now
Sucks that the manager would be like that, surely people getting more involved would be a good thing for everyone?

A certain marshall on Saturday said "no physical contact, I dont want to see any of that freaky chinese ****" during the safety talk, without noticing that one of the guys in our group was part chinese

I'm working saturday and I'll quite happily talk to you about paintball all day! Whoever mentioned the 'Chinese ****' ain't too clever? Your meant to make that bit funny!
