Even better when it's a walk on player. :D

"The reason why I wear a sinners jersey is because I try to distance myself from the rest of you marshalsThe reason why I wear a sinners jersey is because I try to distance myself from the rest of you marshals"

1. Part of the UKPSF and insurance contract states that all marshals need to be distinguished from the background and can be seen by anyone on site. The whole sinners/angel pants thing was a cheap joke which I hoped you would have noticed for what it was but I do see where you were coming from :)

As for everything else you have mentioned... The whole you have a point but does not do much for anyones morale when we have had a lot on new starters that are not up to speed.

It would be nice if you offered some advice if/when you can (as feedback is always good) to myself or others so we get to benefit from your obvious years of experience.

Apart from the fact that they have two handy pockets on the legs for bottles and i was drinking bottles not pints I think they are suitable for that reason alone. let alone that they are predominatly black and seeing as we were playing lazer tag in a dark enviroment, they seem even more appropiate. Shall I add the fact that they are industructable and crawling around on the plywood floors of the lazer tag place didn'tr even effect them. Why should I run the risk of ruining a pair of jeans crawling around? Do I need to go on?
Its not the Angel Pants as handy alco pop holders that causes the embaressment, its the laser tag;)

Col you mentioned shouting @ Customers?

Well I can happily can say I have never swore at a customer. I would like to keep my job and therefor anyone whos decides to start swearing at customers needs to seriously rethink if it is really suitable for them to marshal?

The only reason why I shout is so I can be heard by everyone.

You may find that these people who do take an interest, play more rec days in order to get into the game more before they start to invest in thier own kit.

I was left with the last group Saturday. Do you think might be because I treat them with respect. I don't shout at them, I interact with them and basicly I have a laugh with them.
Hah, and that group on Saturday was my lot, you poor man :p

I have to say that I've only been to necton twice so far but have thoroughly enjoyed both times and haven't had a problem with any of the marshalls. This saturday was colin and someone else and the time before was a guy with long blond-ish hair.

But I did get a lot more out of this Saturday from talking to the marshalls as they spent quite a lot of time between games just sitting with the teams and chatting about stuff.

And what you say is right, I'm planning on getting more into paintball and am slowly building my collection of kit, but in the meantime I'll be playing as much rec-ball as possible.

Infact, booked up for this saturday as well :)

Keep this up and I might have to get fit.
