Come on guys name and shame your local sites marshals. I wanna know exactly how sad some of these guys are getting.
Dob in your fellow site workers.
Don't want to put your neck on the line? Well pm me and I'll post it up for you.

You'll see where I'm going with this after i have judged just how sad some are getting. But after my first time working up a site in 3 months I was shocked by some of the things I saw up there.

A marshall I know likes to hide behind his teams bunkers and shoot paint he picks up at the punters when there not looking - needless to say when i walked past and spotted him doing this I lit him and his barricade up and he **** himself - made me laugh though :D

Alright Colin, what other stuff did/have you see?

1. I'll admit to wearing my pack! I have a slight back complaint at the moment and it provides some extra support. (it did have 2 full pots).
2. I also then did a stag run for my work group, that has taken a while to organise. (You don't see organisers volunteering on a daily basis)

I personally wouldn't want to be seen wearing a 'Sinners' jersey. or that reminds me... Angel pants on a night-out to a christmas party sound familar?

But then if you saw some real goodies on Saturday, please share them with us.

Aha time to name and shame then and you confessed to the first offence. Wearing a battle pack with pots in whilst marshalling. The back support was the most laughable excuse i have ever heard. Get a lumber support if you have a back complaint. Pod packs were never designed as lumber support they have next to none of it and as to the pots pushing into your back well they are going to do wonders.
I didn't even see the stag run and I'm not bothered by that as I've done more then one and run in to protect fallen players.
The poart that made me laugh was the procedure you have after cleaning a smegged barrel. If you notice the marshals who have been there for a long while clean the barrel and pass it back to the customer to fire a couple of shots off to make sure its working properly. They don't take the gun, clean it and then practice thier snap shooting in the open with the customers gun and balls. on that point try bending at the waist more and keep your outside arm in, and its a quick in out action not out let off a couple of balls then back in, your profile is all over the place.
The reason why I wear a sinners jersey is because I try to distance myself from the rest of you marshals, as most of them up there now seem to marshal from the sidelines and have no comprehension on where the action is going on during play. To marshal you need to be right in the middle of the action if you get lit up so be it. Hell I even had to run onto a field where a fight was about to break out because the marshalls of that group were on the 50 gazing into space. Theres also the thing that if I wear something different to the rest of you my group find it easier to spot me and don't go wandering off with the wrong group. Theres also the fact that it is promoting another side to the game. Many don't even know that you can go further into paintball then just rec days and those interested tend to ask questions about the other side. Before you say I'm trying to steal Mr Masons customers. You may find that these people who do take an interest, play more rec days in order to get into the game more before they start to invest in thier own kit.
Theres also the thing with the way some of the staff up there talk to the customers. if you shout and ball at them then you will end up with trouble. Treat them with respect and they will treat you with respect. Have you ever wondered why I always seem to get the groups who have no trouble at all? Its not because I pick the groups which look less trouble then the rest as I was left with the last group Saturday. Do you think might be because I treat them with respect. I don't shout at them, I interact with them and basicly I have a laugh with them.
But what do I know huh? I've only worked up at the site 3 times this year so I don't know anything anymore, well apart from that i've worked up there for, 4 years now and can remember when the marshals up there were good at doing thier job, now the majority of them wouldn't know how to marshal if thier life depended on it. I think its time that Mike looked into booking half the staff up there on the UKPSF's marshalling course, now they are being reinstated.
As to your clumsy attempt at a dig about angel pants at a staff party well lets look into that shall we?
Apart from the fact that they have two handy pockets on the legs for bottles and i was drinking bottles not pints I think they are suitable for that reason alone. let alone that they are predominatly black and seeing as we were playing lazer tag in a dark enviroment, they seem even more appropiate. Shall I add the fact that they are industructable and crawling around on the plywood floors of the lazer tag place didn'tr even effect them. Why should I run the risk of ruining a pair of jeans crawling around? Do I need to go on?
Word of warning:
If your gonna attempt to flame me at least have better ammo then that.

ps your signature "At the 50, no going back" yep got to agree with you there, but it makes the game easier if you marshal all over the field. Now thats how to 'flame'

Kind of correct TL my friend but I do have to point out 1 small detail. If your in the middle of the action when marshalling then you are some way towards being a good marshall, if however you are getting lit up whilst being there then you are in fact getting in the customers way, so there for not really doing a good job of marshalling. :p

How the hell can a group lose you? Are all the marshalls at Necton 7 foot neanderthals now too?:p ;) :D

lol now do you really think that i would stand in a customers way, the only time i get lit up is when checking a player down (after calling him neutral but you know how gun-ho some customers get, bless them) or running across the field through a line of paint. I tend to stand to one side between the main action areas. I tell customers if I'm in the way to shoot through me anyway as i'll soon move or hit the deck, without a grumble. It still makes me laugh when players apologise across the field for shooting me though.

Just happened this saturday. We had en ex-marshal (who I shall call Bill) from 5 years back come and play a week ago, and he came back to work again this weekend.

During the safety talk, my boss explains how head-shots don't count, as they hurt and she wants to discourage people shooting eachother in the head. Later, she then goes on to talk about how if you don't put your hands up when you walk off to get hit, you can't expect everyone else to know you are dead.

Then we have a delightful story about the week before when Bill had been shooting a mate of his, who was lying down and didnt put his hands up high enough, so Bill carried on shooting him in the head, relaoded, and went on. This guy, we're told, is a fireman and he apparently ends up feeling faint and pyhsically ill as a result. Btw, we're told this as if it is a good thing.

So, the 2 mums who were dropping their kids off looked pretty ****ing concerned, and I couldn't blame them. They both asked why this was allowed to be, having just been told that head shots are dangerous. My boss and Bill say its alright because they were mates, blah blah, adrenaline and all.

So yeah, the mums looked much more worried than before, and to be honest I sided with them. Day turned out to run well, thankfully, but that incident didn't give me a good feeling about how it might've gone.
