Anyway, I have a DM4 sitting next to me, and its damn fast...so go and buy that. Theres' millions of threads like this one, just go back a couple of pages, or search...

Forget the OICW, I'll take my silenced MP5. Although the ability to shooot mini-exploding projectiles cant be all too bad  :)

The low pressure thing I think started when guns only had one pressure level, CO2 bottle pressure. The idea was to reduce chops by reducing the impact of the bolt on the ball.

In today's age of LPRs on pretty much every gun, low pressure operation's liabilities (longer dwell, lower efficiency) usually outweigh the advantages (umm... it's low pressure, dude!). Accuracy may be improved slightly in a string by a lack of kick, but consistent velocity is most important, IMO. Most guns still have some kick, and in a string, we compensate without much thought, as long as the force is consistent.

I don't know why, but AKA guns are an exception to the lower efficiency thing.

Surely we shouldn't overlook the humble Inferno? How many other guns can be used day in, day out by 13 year old munters with all the common sense of a whelk, be constantly whacked against trees, the ground etc..., be maintained & serviced by 16 year old marshalls, filled with dirt, washed out with tapwater, filled with dirt again & still work every weekend for 3 years running??? There's a good chance that if you started playing within the last 5 or 6 years, this is the gun that got you hooked too (tippy '98s aside)
I'd love to see a 3 year, long term test done between a £1000 Timmy & a £100 site Inferno & see which is still working. I know they're not fast, good looking or particularly cool (I know I'd never turn up to a tourney with one....:p ) but for allround build quality & sheer durability, it's gotta be in the top 5 "best guns of all time"

my 2p :)

Oh, sorry, I deleted part of what I was going to say. That last statement was a caveat to what I was saying. I get long winded sometimes.

I originally typed a paragraph about low pressure having a deleterious effect on efficiency. AKA markers, particularly Vikings, are a dramatic exception to this, though.
