Well Bud,
Motown is just the shortened version of Tamla Motown which was the original record label that groups like the 4 Tops, Temptations, Stevie Wonder and so forth recorded on.
The groups you mentioned were more in the seventies but didn't have the same pedigree I'm afraid as those I would listen to.
Just my opinion u understand :)

Thanks for the history lesson mate.

I'd never thought of you as a soul brother though. The hairstyle and the tattoos don't really go with that image, but I guess you can't judge a book by it's cover (or a Robbo by it's rub-on tattoos :D just joking). Yeah, I got kinda stuck in the seventies I guess, but then again I'm not as old as you are (even though some people do consider me an old player, and the fact that I play for a new team called Old & Famous doesn't really make me appear as a young god either).
But be honest, it's gotta be great to go for that pimp-daddy-mack image. Drive a big ol' pimped out 64 Chevy Impala, mother of pearl grips on your marker, fuzzy dice hanging from your hopper, walk with a limp, and say beeyutch a lot. Now where to get some gold teeth......?

By the way, I also listen to some Blue Note Jazz, that would make me Jurassic, wouldn't it?

Peace out, mister soul brother! (I prefer soul sistaz though.....;) )

Well the first wave of scooters hit around the mid sixties with the arrival of mods on scooters and rockers on motorbikes, I ain't that freakin old !!!!!
But I weren't far behind because in 1970 I got a Lambretta and shaved my head (ain't changed much) as skinheads hit the world, in fact I shaved it in like 68 when Reggae and skinhead culture was the 'in' thing.
But Motown wasn't really the music of the 'Skins', Reggae was.

Different american and UK rock/indie mainly....

Oh and paintball promotes music, well I watched one of the pig TV episodes..ummm not sure which one (Challenge Cup 2001) and the music on it was by a band I'd never heard of called 'The Starting Line'

I downloaded loads of their tunes after hearing 'Gregs Last Day' and really like them. Very Impressed oh and if it's music I like I do support it thats why I bought their album a few days after downloading it.

The*Ataris, Vandals, cheap sampler albums from kung fu records and some others, Feinx Tx, Chemical Brothers, Groove Armada, U2, Red Hot Chilli Pepers, OffSpring, Green Day, Blink 182, Sum 41, The Prodigy, early Limp Bizkit (eg first 2 albums) and Linkin Park when they were called Hybrid Theory.
NB in my opinion now both Limp Bizkit and Linkin Park suck, but they used to be good...

also just getting in to Prog Rock (eg. Pink Floyd, King Cimson, Jethro Tull etc.)
