any one here getting really fed up with all the harry potter hype? you cant even inocently look through an argos catalogue or a news paper without a bombardment of harry this and harry that. its a surprise that being a british film(if not funded certanly filmed here) it gets good reviews in the uk press! personally i couldn't care less. roll on lord of the rings! and spiderman!( and yep Vin Diesel did do the iron mans voice,he was good in Pitch Black))

as for books i don't read many, hard tofnd time. But private parts by howerd stern is very funny(a good toilet book) and i like american psycho. And i loved TheDay f the Triffids by John Wyndham. but mainly i read comics. of which i recomend the watchmen by alan moore and Dave Gibbons, any Frank Miller pref Daredevil, the Dare devil series that Kevin "clerks ad mallrats" Smith write(best comic i've read) and any book with Alex Ross art work(so good your Ma and Pa will like it)

This is too hard there's too many good films to go through but here's my must have video list:

Paths of Glory: Kirk Douglass as real as it gets in WW1 and was banned in france for years.
Hunt for red october: Connery at his best and to good not 2b true
Odessa File: John Voight gets mixed up hunting adolphs mob
Blues Bros:Funny with classic music.
Das Boot; (german version with subtitles) very atmosphereic
Life of Brian:Find out what the Romans did 4 U
Toy Story 1&2: Well made with lots of adult jokes.
Lock Stock: The best British film for years.
The Trench:WW1 in the mud.
Shawshank:Screwing the system and winning.
Papillon:Getting Screwed by the system:
Cool Hand Luke:Newman at his best.
Rollerball:Soccer Hooligans on pitch.
The Green mile:Hanks best film by a mile.

Just watched Apocalypse Now redux last night on DVD and you know what.........it's cool. the big extra scene of the french plantation is a waste of time but so imfamous it had to go back.but as for the rest ....you see a different side of Willard when they leave the Robert Duvall character its basically coz they realise he's a nutter so they leave which is very funny and Willard steals his favorite surf board.he then sends out helicopter patrols to find them playing recordings of him apologising to Vince and asking for his board back coz its his favorite.
for me that was the best bit but the whole film was cool....damn long though 3hours 20 mins!
go see and enjoy

PS D'oh, I forgot about The Matrix
""Well ain't that a daisy..."

Tombstone is the best movie. Followed by Wyatt Earp. Then the Matrix, U571, and Mystery, Alaska.
