You'd be surprised actually :) I did approach a few teams, and the overall response was "ummm.... sounds nice....." and zlich after that. If there are teams willing to be followed by me and my camera, by all means I'd be happy do so, but there is always the cost for transport to me (still saving for a car), which limits me to Staffordshire/Cheshire really.
Well I know there's got to be a few teams simillar to mine that only play the cpps which would be ideal for you if that's the only area you can travel too.

Would totally agree with the rock>dubstep thoughts.

Most important for me is actually following a few moves/moments for a little longer - hate it when you get a vid that is just endless 3 sec clips, with no coherence. Even the smallest amount of storytelling helps. A few mini comments or interviews with players helps too.

Kevin Winter - that I can certianly do. I'm going to try and create a sense of visual narrative as opposed to the "oo look something shiny!" small clip approach.

At this moment in time, I think I'm going to do 2 videos - one short and snappy, one as a mini-documentary of the day

Any sort of boobs in particular gommie? I can always see what I can do...

Dave284 - What exactly do you mean by following the tournament? Like, a sequence of events throughout the day or each match, condensed and edited?
Perhaps as an addition to a tournament mix video, see if you can get a mini interview from the division winners mixed with some of their playing footage, a bit of pit footage of teams between points to get a glimpse of them talking and organizing the team along with your usual action shots just to mix it up a bit.

Never use this song. It's disgusting.

Ah yes, the oh-so-lovely world of "trapstep" - not my favorite genre out there, that's for sure. Impressive slide at the 2:30ish mark though

There will definitely be a bit of narrative behind the video (s) - not just pure music :) Talking of music though, I'm still after some good tunes that I can use! Takes weeks to get the rights to use them :)

I think mouse had some rollerskates on or something, he just didn't seem to stop!

I'd be over the moon if anything by A Day To Remember was in it. in particular some good songs are: All I Want, All Signs Point to Lauderdale, Downfall of us All, The Plot to Bomb the Panhandle.

Dave284 - What exactly do you mean by following the tournament? Like, a sequence of events throughout the day or each match, condensed and edited? As far as following teams go, that does take a whole lot of effort - and a team who'd allow me to do it. I have no problems with following a team, much like CustomPB(although, for interviews - a tripod will be used. That was the only thing that really annoyed me with those videos.) - I'd just need a team that acutally wanted following and accepts that the camera is there to capture everything. If someone is having a bad day, and that is a strong supporting factor in the film - it would be left in. Same goes for epic moves. Having a camera on you at some of the tensest moments on field becomes less of a novelty, and more of a "get that camera out of my face" time.

Also - slow-motion will hopefully be coming at you at a glorious 220 frames per second. Now I just need to figure out how to boost the ISO...
Obviously it would depend on how the tournament is set out, for example the Millennium series is broken into brackets for prelims, and then into quarter and semis and then finals. showing who progresses from each bracket, and following the tournament through until the finals. With game footage and scores thrown in. I mean, for me the normal 5 minute video of slides, slo-motion muggings, break out shots, bumps and dives is just done, theres a million and one of those on youtube, theres only so many times you can see that sorta thing before it comes stale.

That's the beauty of those types of video, you see the actual intensity behind some teams, it still incorporates the usual **** that people have said, but actually has some semblance of story line. Something to follow.
