What are markers classed as?

Alright Sid,

Yep, i'll give you a shout about this. Was going to come chat to you before sending anything out anyway.

Big concern is what happens to yours, and all the other sites in Scotland if a blanket ban hits airguns, which essentially is what we use.....I'm aware of the original ban, but what I'm now wondering is, if they went to all the trouble to ban the game, what happened to change their minds and legalise it once again?

Will give you a call anyway.

Mate,

Pedro was in on the discussion at the Parliament on airguns and it does not affect paintball markers. Have a chat with him today on site. The reason they lifted the ban is simple. The Police have enough to worry about with "real" weapon offences than paintball markers and as such they decided to lift the ban as they did not feel paintball markers were a concern, as I say have a chat with Peds, we have a man on the inside ;)

Northern Ireland
classed as a full firearm in Northern Ireland. ie same category as a shotgun or rifle. anything using compressed air or gas as a propellant is classed as a firearm over here unfortunately. hence a paintball marker requires a gun cabinet attached to floor and wall, and ammunition stored away from the marker.

and yes the police do check your house to make sure it is done.
