Welsh Open 2003 - What did you think.?

I must admit it did not seem to go as easy as normal we had our playing rosta changed twice on saturday .
It seemed something was missing from the usual MM tourney.

Well done to No Excuse who won because they deserved it, Doing kelly's in the semi's with Rick getting the better of Eddie in a 1 on 1.
And then spitting out Planet eclipse in the final.
Most of the marshals who ran themselves ragged and big up's to the Manchester marshals because when everyone marshals as good as these guys we can stop complaining about marshals.

The air was as good as ever from H-pac can these guys do no wrong except employ Rich from bad touch .

The auction was a fun event in itself with cooksy turning up in a kilt ( I did'nt know he was even scottish )
Thank god Nexus donated a full team of shirts and Nicky T himself getting the best bid of £170.00 for his own top,But i thought nexus tops were blue not grey .
So well done to all to sumarise - Not as good as last year and still to dear but i'll be back .

ok my thoughts on the MM shoot the rainbow.

site:

perfect as usual, ideal playing fields, nice and flat, maybe could do with some extra toilets with these big games and if people are camping. all in all the site is second to ancaster and thats purely becaause Ancasters fields are completely netted off so you can wait for games with a mask on. 7.5/10

Marshalling:

I have to say was very good, ok there where some good and some bad calls, but in general the marshalling was of a very high standard. A couple of fields just needed to get the time between games shortened. 9.5/10

Atmosphere:

Same as always, didnt see or hear of any real incidents, all teams enjoying the day. Great to see 9.5/10

Organisation:

Up to the usual standards other than a couple of changes to the running order (correct in my opion should be self seed for second day) and the change in prizes to be given as a lot of teams who did well on the sunday, where expecting to win something as had been advertised. The MM crew worked hard all weekend and its good to see them still smiling at the end. well done guys 8/10

Overall 9/10 for the MM Shoot the Rainbow.

All in all it was a good weekend, well done to noXcuse for winning, planet and kellys for the good games in the finals.

A big thanks out to Les for the paint on Saturday and to WDP and Tomahawk paintballs for all there help on Sunday. Well done to the rest of the guys of Freakshow you played with heart all Sunday and did yourselves proud.

I had a cracking weekend, never made semi's before let alone finals

Well done to No Excuse, you guys played well in the finals - I'll just have to make sure they dont bounce next time

Well I had a great weekend - bit of a nightmare saturday morning when we only had 2 players so thanks to the guys that stepped up and helped

And on a side note that was probably the last tournament the boys will play as Dusted Munky (was a great run lets see what the future holds? )
