Probably something to do with too much testosterone...

Isn't that what makes people go bald? And isn't it related to aggression? not sure, I thought I read it somewhere but may be way off base.

It's either that or threads that make you yank your hair out. :D

It's a razor blade that makes me go bald about once a week.

Manike, the reason I asked is because any marshall that allows people to take the field with a hot gun, is damn well insane enough to let people take tools on the field. So duh, I know it's not allowed to bring tool sonto the field, but it's also not allowed to enter the field if you got a hot gun.
And being the overzealous person that you sometimes can be, it would not have been impossible for you to walk onto the field, turning down your marker, thus bringing a tool onto the field with nothing but good intentions.

Pete, I won't get too upset about it. After all, he sounds like a girl when he shouts...:D

WTF? Overzealous?

How can you ever bring a tool onto a field with good intentions? by mistake perhaps but not adjusting the velocity as you walk on! How can you consider adjusting your gun and then playing without putting it back over the chrono? I couldn't ever consider that being an option. Under ANY circumstances.

I don't get your post, or whatever you think I may have done or the circumtances may have been, good intentions or not :(

At the point the judge told me to enter the field, it wasn't a hot gun. I had three shots under the limit. It was just that it had been hot and he'd kept going until it was under to allow me to play. Not the thing I would have expected. And I wasn't happy with going onto the field like that. So I turned my gun down till I was happy all shots were safe and then went onto the field.

I also resemble that remark!:p

And talk about threadjacking!

Robbo! I'm really disappointed with you M8! Here I stick my neck way out on the line with some of my homies and you come in here only with a bunch of cue-ball jokes.

Not that I start a thread just to get your attention but this issue needs a lot more attention than just a bunch of loser-loos (however important they also are). We all need some help in this fight. Or?

Si, get your underwear unbunched. You're acting like I accuse you of things.
It's easy. When people are focused on doing something (in this case: playing a game of paintball) they tend to get forgetful. So it's entirely possible for someone to decide to do the decent thing and turn down their marker, while they are walking to their flagstation. It's not that hard really. Many people bring tools to the field for last minute adjustments, and when you're getting hurried along by judges, and you're focused on the game ahead of you, you can do weird things and forget stuff (seen it happen plenty of times). ****, I once walked out of a store without paying for what I was going to buy, because I was caught up in a lively chat with someone I met in the store.
So relax, all I wanted to know is where the adjusting was done, in order to find out just how insane some judges were.
I didn't think you'd do that sort of thing. And please don't take the overzealous thing to heavy. Everybody knows that you do your best to promote paintball however you can. So you are zealous (can't deny that). And the way you sometimes get carried away in threads on these boards can at times be considered overzealous. That's all. No great conspiracy. Not all mods are out to get you (and if we were, we wouldn't tell you, would we?).

Sorry Jay, the post just made it sound like you were questioning me and how I play the game, rather than the judges who would have let me play it that way.

Even if a judge may have allowed me to walk on hot or with a chrono key doesn't mean I would have allowed myself to do it. At that point it's my integrity that's in question as well as the bad judges.

In a smilar fashion to if a judge doesn't see a hit you can keep playing... If the judge let me on hot I can play that way or walk onto a field adjusting my marker if they don't care... not me. :D

Just because a judge doesn't enforce the rules upon us, doesn't mean we should lower oursleves to their standards. I don't and I just got somewhat offended by the though that I may have, intentionally or not. No worries though. :)
