So if i go for the asus, ill have to do all that fiddling about seen in that thread because i have a 775 socket?
Ok and you all have seen my current system. What would be worth getting first more RAM or a cpu cooler.
Been looking at this stick

Not unless there is a problem with seating the Cooler like I had, which is why I posted that thread.
But, it is an excellent cooler.

I have that RAM, 2 Gig, you dont need any more than that. But it is very good RAM.
Mine is stable at 875Mhz, it might go further but I don't want to over do the voltages.
Dont use Speedfan, it's sh!t. It reads temps about 15 degrees lower than they are in some cases.
CoreTemp is another and also Intel TAT, which will tell you temps and will also allow you to stress test your CPU, to make sure that any Overclock is stable.
Ideally, you want to stress it for 8 hours at least to make sure you have a stable overclock.
Another good test is ORTHOS.
CPU-Z is like Everest, but different...very useful. Allows you to see what your memory timings are ACTUALLY set at too.
