After all, a preset airsystem screws in and out....what if you screw out the reg in stead of the whole airsystem?
ive had personal expeirience of the preset reg coming off the bottle!
once after checking out the new gun i had bought i looked at the reg and i still had a little over 1000psi left so i thought i wouldnt bother saving it and we had done all the dryfiring i ever wanted to so i thought i would just take the bottle off the gun and deal with it later(bearing in mind i didnt have a on/off valve)

So in all my welsh thickness i proceded to slap my hand on the back of the bottle and twist, and i would all come of as normal, but this time the the locktite gave and the bottle moved round but the reg stayed fixed in the gun and after about 2 screws all my gas dumped in about 5 seconds a very loudly! luckily i think most bottle are made so that after 2 or 3 screws the dump there pressure but theres like onother 20 odd screws before it actualy detaches from the reg.

but anyway sorry to break the subject

Aw, hell. I guess this will clear things up at least. I hope that some silly airlines will not continue to maintain more strict rules than TSA.
